What is workplace equality?
Workplace equality refers to being treated fairly and equally in the workplace regardless of gender, race, age, religion, sexual orientation, or any other personal characteristic. Everyone should have equal access to opportunities, resources, and benefits and not be discriminated against or treated differently based on factors unrelated to job performance and skills.
Workplace equality also means that diverse perspectives and experiences are valued and leveraged to create a more inclusive and innovative working environment. Achieving workplace equality requires commitment and organisational buy-in to create policies and practices that promote fairness, respect, and equal opportunities for all employees.
