Elvie is a great company to work for, they put the trust in their staff to get the job done without micro managing but also have a true concern about staff's health and happiness. Even though we are working remotely, I always feel part of a tight knit team and know I have the support and comradery of my colleagues whenever I may need it.
Elvie is amazing for flexibility - with the 9 day fortnight I feel I have such a great work/life balance.
I feel that at Elvie I'm treated as an adult and there's no micro-management. As long as you do your work, it's up to you how and when you do it. The flexibility is amazing, which helps in creating the perfect work/life balance. The work pressure is high, but very rewarding.
Elvie is just amazing. The family leave benefits is the best part. I’ve just started my maternity leave and I am feeling supported, everything that a new family needs.
The 9 day fortinight trial has had a tremendously positive impact on my work-life balance, my stress levels and my ability to be motivated and effective whilst at work - I really hope they keep it.
The flexibility is excellent, but I do wish the office was busier - I enjoy having more people around, and find it very valuable to building relationships, culture and effective ways of working when I have the opportunity to interact with people in person.
Elvie has a very strong culture of trust and respect. I feel trusted to get my work done without anyone looking over my shoulder. I have full trust that my colleagues are just as committed. If we need some personal time we're encouraged to take it. We're all working towards the same goals. Management is very supportive, talent is nurtured, and we build cool stuff.
Although we may work longer on certain days to our our jobs done, it's totally worth it for the 9 day fortnight. It outweighs it!
Elvie offers total flexibility in hours worked. If I need to head out for a winter run at 3pm whilst it's still light, nobody bats an eyelid. I can just pop my OOO on and work back the hours later. I can start whenever I like, and finish whenever I like. Coming into the office is fun, so I choose to come in 1 or 2 days a week but most of my team are in for team socials and the occasional work-related reason, but there's no pressure to come in at regular intervals unless you actively want to.
A brilliant authentic and transparent company, with a human first approach. Flexibility means I get to spend time with my family with commuting time reduced - invaluable.
I’d say it’s hard to get perfect but Elvie is pretty close and the talent is exceptional.
We now work 9 days in 10 which is great at redressing some work life balance.
I love the trust we have for each other here.
I love the genuine flexibility and trust that we have as employees and the opportunities that come with that.
The flexibility is the best I've had in any role.
I have never been in a company where I can be so transparent about my life commitments that may affect my working day, it's totally fine and you are completely trusted on output of work
Elvie is a great place to work when it comes to flexibility.
It's a very inclusive and accommodating business to work for. Whilst I haven't needed to take full advantage of the flexibility the company affords its employees, I know that it's available, and that individual situations are always taken into consideration.
I came from a company where our business case for more paid time off was rejected because 20 days (the legal minimum) was "too much already". Here, the work life balance is part of the culture and doing a life commitment is not only common, but actively encouraged. Being able to take a day off because I need to move house or just have a day to reset is really valuable to me.
Elvie is empowering on any given day but as a working mum with young kids (and just returning from MAT leave), I feel so extremely supported and not at all disadvantaged by my circumstances. Elvie is constantly championing inclusive and diverse ways of working and work-life balance (from the top of the business on down). The funny thing is, the more Elvie encourages us to balance our personal and work lives, the more I want to hang out with my workmates! A budding culture of mutual respect!
Elvie is a great example of what flexible working is all about - you see people's calendars being blocked out for school pick-ups, school events etc, including from the leadership team and the exec. I feel empowered to work when it suits me best while being there for any important events for my family and children. No one bats an eyelid if I need to come in late/leave early, we are just trusted to get the work done when it suits us.
Elvie's flexibility is one of the main drivers for people to be happy and satisfied here. We have offices if you want to collaborate and see coworkers in person which is wonderful, but we don't have set days or requirements of when to use it. It's the perfect balance in my opinion. I'm able to start late, take longer lunch breaks, or take time off without guilt because I know the company's culture is one that recognises that mental health and wellbeing should be the priority. That's not to say people don't work tremendously hard, it's just that they put in those hours when it's best for them.
Elvie's work culture is truly built on trust and autonomy. As long as the work is done and we put in our weekly hours, we can take time out of one afternoon and work it another. Everyone does this by themselves and there is no feeling of anyone counting your minutes so it really lets you stay relaxed.
Elvie has a high-trust culture, where we are given the autonomy and flexibility to work in a way that suits us and the company - if we need to go to an appointment during the day, do the school drop-off/pick-up, or want to head for a long run at lunchtime, then we have the freedom to do that without being questioned...there's no clock-watching!
Elvie is an amazing place to work. Since October we also practice a "9 day fortnight", which means we get every second Friday off without any salary reduction. Everyone at the company loves it!
This is a people first kind of company. Life got in the way? No worries, take some life leave. Have to do a school run? No sweat. Have to finish early/start late? Don't worry about it. We all trust each other and we're there for each other. You matter and Elvie shows it.
Elvie has been the most supportive, inspiring, and hard working workplace I've worked at!

About us
Founded by Tania Boler in 2013, Elvie has been improving women's lives through better and smarter technology ever since. We develop innovations that meet the unique needs and complexities of the female body so that women can take charge of their health across every life stage.
Our first product, Elvie Trainer, is a multi-award-winning device bringing hospital-grade pelvic floor care to the hands of women everywhere. We're proud to say that Elvie Trainer is part of the NHS Supply Chain in the UK. Our second innovation was Elvie Pump, the silent, wearable breast pump, enabling women to pump wherever they please — even the catwalk at London Fashion Week.
We've since expanded our breastfeeding range, including manual solutions, Elvie Curve and Elvie Catch, and more recently, the ultra-quiet electric breast pump, Elvie Stride. Launched through insurance, Elvie Stride is worn under clothing, so mothers can discreetly express wherever the day may take them.
As a business, Elvie has received more than 30 awards (including TIME Magazine’s Top 100 Inventions 2019 and 2021). We’re ranked as one of the 15 startups ‘To Watch’ by The Sunday Times and Business Insider, and the fastest-growing privately owned femtech company in the Deloitte Fast 50 Awards. Our founder and CEO, Tania Boler, is regularly profiled in top-tier media titles, and, in 2021, Tania was named GLAMOUR’s Women of the Year: Technology Gamechanger.
In July 2021, Elvie announced an $80 million Series C funding, the number one position and biggest raise in an initial fundraising round in the femtech category.
