Hurree builds culture that combines high ownership with real support
We’re proud of building a culture that combines high ownership with real support. People have autonomy here, but they’re not left to figure everything out alone.
A big part of that is Hurree Inspires. We bring in specialists to lead sessions on topics the team genuinely cares about, like financial wellbeing, personal wellbeing or any professional interest. It’s a chance to learn together, ask questions that matter, and have honest conversations in a way that feels human, not performative.
We also lead with trust and transparency day-to-day. We keep communication open, encourage feedback, and aim to make decisions in a way people understand. And we’re proud of the growth stories that come from that environment, from early-career teammates stepping into senior roles, to people choosing to come back because they value how Hurree operates.
Approach to inclusion
We’re intentional about creating a workplace where people feel safe to be themselves and supported to do their best work. That shows up in real ways, from flexibility and autonomy in how people work, to open, honest leadership, to well-being support that’s actually used.
- A few examples:
- We regularly run anonymous pulse surveys and act on what we hear, so everyone has a voice, not just the loudest one.
- We’re proud to champion and support the LGBTQ+ community, including celebrating Pride together as a team and raising money for charities.
- We invest in wellbeing through private healthcare and access to confidential mental health support, plus regular check-ins with the CEO.
- We’re building a company where different life stages and working styles are genuinely supported, with remote and hybrid options and flexi-time that works year-round.
- Representation matters to us, including having a female CTO, which is still far too rare in tech.
- We back people to grow here. Team members have progressed from early-career roles into leadership positions, and we support people returning from parental leave to step into new opportunities.
- We try to show up for each other when it counts, with practical support for employees and their families during good or tough times.
- We work in a way that values transparency over polish, with open conversations about what’s working, what isn’t, and what we’re still figuring out.
Ultimately, we want Hurree to be a place where great people can do great work, without having to fit a mould.
Flexible working at Hurree
At Hurree, flexibility is part of how we work, not a perk. We want people to have the space to do great work while still having a life outside it.
We keep things aligned with core hours from 11 am to 3 pm, and outside of that we trust people to manage their time in a way that works for them and their role. We also support remote working when needed. Our head office is dog-friendly and based in Belfast, but our team is spread across the globe, with a mix of contract types.
Beyond flexibility, we aim to look after people properly. That includes 35 days’ annual leave (including bank holidays), an enhanced parental leave package, employee discounts through Perks Directory, and a MasterClass subscription to support learning and development. We also make time for team connection, with fully expensed socials throughout the year.
For wellbeing, we offer private health and dental cover, plus access to on-demand therapy through Spill, because mental health support should be easy to access - and genuinely encouraged.
What Employees like about Hurree

Benefits
Beyond your salary Hurree have benefits that build a bigger package, this often helps with your life outside of work. They do small gestures that take the pressure off inside and out of working hours. For example during January they gave all employees a voucher of their choice to spend on something that makes them happy to beat the January blues. This is thoughtful and shows the company cares about staff and their wellbeing. Each day we are treated to coffees and snacks whilst this may seem trivial but it goes a long way for those in the office all day. And when working remote each event is designed so that there is no pressure to be in the office but you can still fully take part. And as for flexibility - the team has worked so hard on accommodating everyones needs which has now seen an integration of 'all-season flexi team' this allows us to build up hours when it suits and take the time when needed taking away the strain of booking personal appointments or, getting started on your weekend that bit earlier.

Working Environment
Hurree offers great flexibility and is one of the first places I've worked in a decade long career that actually seems to foster work/life balance.

Culture
Hurree is an amazing place to work, thanks to its exceptional treatment of every staff member. You always feel that your contributions are appreciated, and the management is open and honest about your performance. There are multiple opportunities for one-on-one meetings if you wish to discuss any issues or concerns. The culture encourages collaboration, ensuring that everyone is involved in events, even if they aren't in the office every day.

Culture
Hurree puts it's employees first - walks the walk!

Benefits
Hurree is the most flexible place I've ever worked. Management are happy that as long as the work is done, we can do it when and where we want which is amazing. Our perks and benefits are really good, we have good private healthcare and management generally care about the happiness and wellbeing of staff. They take our feedback on board and implement new initiatives based on our feedback. Love working at Hurree
