Prolific is changing how research on the internet is done. We started by building a marketplace that connects researchers (from both Academia and industry) with instant, high quality, global research participants. Now, as a growing team, the bigger vision is to build the most powerful and trusted platform for behavioral research.
Quantitative and qualitative researchers, data scientists, and entrepreneurs all need valid and reliable data sources to make predictions about human behaviour and social change. Thanks to our online platform, researchers collect responses fast and participants earn cash rewards for themselves or for charity. It takes 5 minutes to start data collection, there's no middleman, and the product easily integrates with any survey software.
Flexible working approach
We are a remote-first organisation with dog-friendly office space in Paddington, but also the option to expense co-working space in people's home locations as we have employees based across EMEA and even someone in Canada. We generally have core hours of 10am-3pm but this is flexible (especially due to differing timezones). We have unlimited sick and compassionate leave, £1000 annual training and development budget per person, we have quarterly meet-ups (virtual for now) 2 days with a £30 daily food budget and fun activities, enhanced parental leave with options for shared parental leave, every other Friday is our Creative and Wellness day so employees can use that time to do whatever brings them joy or makes them feel well, share options available, equipment of your choice, no meetings Wednesdays, Health and dental care plans with Bupa cover.
Scoring against our flexibility index (1 = not at all flexible, 100 = couldn’t be more flexible, 51 is average) using a number of parameters to assess flexibility such as working from home, hours, frequency of travel, benefits, etc.
Employee benchmarking score
Scoring against our employee perception index (1 = not seen as flexible, 100 = couldn’t be happier with the flexibility, 51 is average) using a number of more emotional / perception based questions to understand whether employees feel supported and offered what they want. The areas we cover are work-life balance / managerial support / flexible benefits / working environment / and many others.
"I honestly find it hard to believe I'll ever find another company as flexible and employee-focused as this. They've made it almost impossible for me to ever leave, in a good way! Some other notable things I really appreciate: - No meetings allowed on Wednesdays, only deep, focused work - Every other Friday is "Wellness and Creative time" - work on your own projects, read a book, go for a hike, clean your house, sleep all day... whatever you need to stay happy and mentally healthy."
Anonymous Prolific Employee
What do we think of Prolific?
Prolific started off their accreditation with extremely high expectations due to their brilliant Employer benchmark quiz and continued to excel throughout the anonymous employee feedback stage. We had a higher than average participation and the overall feedback was excellent. Candidates should really take note of these combined high scores and the overall flexibility from Prolific and definitely apply should a relevant role be available.
