I have the freedom to do my best work where I'm most productive no questions asked.

The people I work alongside are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the work they do, and are willing to both learn and share to help improve the team dynamic.

I love working at hedgehog lab. The culture is great and very supportive - I like to work from home mostly but did more hours in the office when I was new to get to know my team. Hours are flexible and I have been able to meet personal life commitments (e.g. family emergencies, medical appointments) around my work. I feel like wellbeing and work-life balance really matter here. There's a trust-based culture around working remotely, which as a new employee makes me feel comfortable to work from home as I am trusted to get my work done. People here feel comfortable taking sickness days when needed which has been great to see, everyone is very supportive and understanding about it and we pull together as a team. The unlimited annual leave has been great too and we are encouraged to take it.

I love being able to go for a walk or out for lunch with my husband when he's working from home. I can also collect and look after my 1 yo daughter and it's not a problem. It's important that we communicate with one another about when we'll be around but there's no judgement or interrogation as long as the work is getting done. It's fantastic.

I think hedgehog lab have always understood that you can do great work from anywhere and they allow employees to work where is best for them.

Love how flexible my job is!

Hedgehog lab is really one of the most flexible companies I know. The management really cares about its employees' well-being and offers many benefits to support them in any way possible.

hedgehog lab is a human-centered global tech consultancy. Our experts in UXR, UI/UX, engineering, cloud, & data science work with our partners to deliver custom app development and digital transformation services.

With over 15+ years of digital product experience, our team is skilled at developing human-centered solutions that drive real business impact for partners including AJ Bell, Deliveroo, Kodak Alaris and Tesco Bank.

Our team members work and play all over the world but our main digital labs are located in Newcastle upon Tyne UK, York, UK, Boston, USA and Sofia, BGR.

Flexible working at hedgehog lab

Flexible working hedgehog lab is embraced by recognising that all staff have different needs and that those needs can change.

Our culture is built on trust and autonomy: we want our staff to be happy and relaxed when working for hedgehog lab. We have dog-friendly offices in Newcastle, but moved to a remote-first approach as a result of the pandemic – most of our employees are happy to work from home! This also means that we're open to and hire team members from all over the UK and beyond.

We can also offer excellent benefits, including flexible working, part-time contracts, unlimited annual leave, access to free therapy sessions and financial well-being services and enhanced parental leave.
