How you'll be contributing to Accurx as a Data Engineer (Tech Lead)..

Accurx is already the communication software of choice for 98% of NHS GP practises in England and is swiftly expanding to other healthcare settings. We’re hiring for our first Data Engineering Lead, who’ll bring diverse datasets generated by this essential system together under one warehouse roof, leading to invaluable improvements to the day-to-day work of healthcare providers and the experiences of patients.

The key to Accurx’s future success will hinge significantly on strong data engineering practices, and it’s up to you to spearhead that vision, by planning and executing engineering projects that further a data-driven company mission.

Your day to day tasks, should you choose to accept this mission... 🤝

• As a Data Engineer (Tech Lead) you will be the first point of contact for data integrations and bronze data modelling.
• You’ll lead the data engineering function and work together with analysts, BI developers and data scientists.
• It’ll be your job to make sure there’s data available to answer some of the most pressing questions in healthcare.
  
• You will work closely with out Staff Data Engineer to collaborate on data engineering solutions.
• You will collaborate with the rest of the Data team (Data Science and Analytics & BI) to improve the accuracy and availability of self serving & BI data
  
• You'll report to the Head of Data and work closely with her to shape the team & execute data strategy.
• You’ll be joining a well-established data team - also known for being one of the most fun teams in the company 🥳

We'd really like to hear from you, if ...

• You have data engineering experience and have worked as part of a Data team
• You have an interest in progressing to leading a team and managing complex projects with internal and external stakeholders
• You have worked extensively in Python, and ideally on running Python integrations in the cloud (Azure)
• You are proficient in SQL (specifically stored procedures) but have knowledge about other databases (NoSQL databases etc)
• You have worked with Snowflake and its integrations
• You understand concepts of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes and data modelling
• You are able to integrate data from various sources, such as web services, APIs, and file systems
• You have a strong knowledge of Azure, specifically on Azure functions, Azure data lake and Azure data factory
• You are proficient in version control systems such as Git
• Bonus: you have experience in C# / Product Engineering

💰 £80,000 - £95,000 salary + the value of £50,750 share options
