Mentions of

Accurx are a very good company to work for. They have invested in the office, so expect some office time to make the most of all the benefits we have, but still offer flexibility about which days are wfh days, and there is always flexibility for individual circumstances.

I enjoy working at Accurx. One of the biggest motivations for me is knowing that the work we do has such a positive impact and that there’s much more to come from us.

Accurx is a place with high autonomy; you manage your own time, and it provides you flexibility on where you work. We do have a 3-day in-office policy, but the idea of being in the office is for us to collaborate and get to know your colleagues. We have our own chef (amazing food! ), and people can have lunch together (if you want!) which is great. I think I manage to get to know so many people I don't normally work with on a day-to-day basis through lunch.

It look a long time to find a home like Accurx but it was so worth the wait. They've struck a great balance between hard work and prioritising personal wellbeing, one that is incredibly tough to strike. Long may it continue

About us

We are a fast-growing health technology company which makes it easier for patients and healthcare teams to communicate.

Accurx is where conversations happen with and about patients. Our software helps doctors, nurses, pharmacists and administrators and other professionals to seamlessly connect with both patients and each other.

Our mission is simple: everything we do is to make patients healthier and healthcare staff happier.

74% of UK adults have communicated via Accurx so there is a chance you might have already heard of us! Established in 2016 and with close to £50m in funding, Accurx is one of the UK's fastest-growing tech startups. In two years, we grew from only a few GP practices using us to over 50% of practices in England. Today, over 98% of GP practices rely on us to communicate with their patients.

We're also growing in hospitals and are already used by 68% of NHS Trusts in England. Our vision is that anyone involved in a patient's care can communicate with each other.

Our products have had a huge impact on the NHS. We’re proud to see that 10% of patients cut from waiting lists with Accurx.

Flexible working at Accurx

Flexible working hours

Accurx is a flexible employer, meaning we do not prescribe the exact hours that you should be working or measure success by the hours you’re at your desk or online. And, did we mention that we have a dog friendly office?

That said, we work collaboratively, which means we need a good amount of overlap in all of our days, to allow for meetings and avoid others being blocked waiting for your input. This is why we have core hours of 10am-4pm each weekday, giving AccuFolk flexibility on whether they want to start/finish early or late. This is not the ‘full work day’, but the hours we would like everyone to be present and online.

Working Remotely - We have a 3:1:1 approach 🏠

Let's start with the first ":1:"...

1 day a week, you have flexibility to work remotely as you please - the only ask is that you communicate well with your team to let them know!

And what about the second ":1"?
This one requires agreement as a team and allows teams to assign a "remote first" working day, each week (ideally the same day each week). On this day, people can work from wherever they want, and all ceremonies and activities will be remote friendly (stand-ups on a Video call, using digital tools such as Miro rather than a whiteboard etc.), so anyone remote will get the same experience as folk in person.

For the other 3 days, we expect people to be in the office – unless you have specific COVID-19 or health related reasons not to.

Working from abroad 🌏

You can request one-off periods of up to two weeks to work abroad, just talk through the logistics with your manager.

Approach to diversity & inclusion

At Accurx, we’re building software that enables everyone involved in a patient’s care to communicate with one another. To do this we need to make sure our team represents the people we build our products for.

Our team needs to be diverse to encourage the right conversations and challenge how our products work and who they work for.

Everyone’s a patient, which means the entire UK population can benefit from our products. 🤗

Hiring a diverse team is not enough. To encourage these conversations we aim to foster an inclusive working environment where all AccuFolk have a strong sense of belonging. We prioritise building psychological safety, so everyone regardless of how they identify can challenge and bring their opinions to the table.

We continuously review our application and interview process, taking feedback from existing employees and candidates who apply to make it inclusive, stress-free and even enjoyable! We will always try our best to accommodate reasonable adjustments.

We are an equal opportunities employer and a pleasant and supportive place to work. We particularly welcome applications from those who are significantly underrepresented in the technology sector, such as women, non-binary people, transgender people, people with disabilities, LGBTQIA+ community and individuals from Black and Minority ethnic communities.

We work in partnership with Stonewall as part of their Diversity Champions program. This is because we believe in a world where all LGBTQ+ people are free to be themselves and can live their lives to the full. Inclusive workplaces have a huge part to play in making this world a reality.

What do we think of Accurx?

Accurx were incredibly engaged in the flexification process, ensuring they were offering flexibility that not only benefitted the business but allowed employees to strike a great work life balance. This includes offering a great hybrid policy that allows for both teambuilding and relationship development through face to face collaboration.

If you're looking for a rewarding career enhancing patients' experiences within healthcare, Accurx is the business for you,

Meet who might be hiring you

At Accurx, we get to play our part in making communication better in healthcare. Our products have made a difference to how healthcare staff can interact with patients. This is a rewarding experience and one that every employee gets to make an impact in. If working in a transparent and inclusive environment is your street then Accurx may be the place for you. Our employee handbook and medium page aim to give people a sense of the how we work at Accurx and how each of us play a part.
