The opportunity
Data is a critical component at Attest, and our data engineering experts are tasked with the primary mission of facilitating efficient and reliable data processing. Our Data Engineers are vital to the data lifecycle, as they are responsible for designing, constructing, testing, and maintaining our data architecture and infrastructure.
The team works collaboratively across various functions and is accountable for several aspects of data management. These include data modelling, data pipeline management, machine learning (ML) deployment, and performance optimization. The primary focus of our Data Engineers is to ensure scalability and resilience in our data infrastructure. By doing so, Attest can deliver top-quality data-driven insights and analytics to our clients, enabling them to make informed business decisions.
Salary
The salary range for this role is £85,000 to £105,000.
At Attest our engineering roles are levelled. For this particular role we are open to hiring candidates across 2 different levels which is why the range is so broad. If your expectations align at either end of the band (or somewhere in between!) Please do apply and we can share more about our internal levelling during the interview process.

Your focus will be….
- Take potentially complex and/or ambiguous opportunities and work with other disciplines (product, research, engineering, marketing, customer success) to turn them into problems that can be solved iteratively with the data team.
- Support both technical and non-technical folk by setting an example and promoting good data governance and practices across Attest.
- Proactively identify and lead data engineering initiatives, focusing and prioritising work that helps support our business goals
- Develop and enhance our existing data analytics platform and data products.
- Maintain the analytics infrastructure to enable Attest to make data-informed decisions.
- Build tooling to support the machine learning (ML) model development life-cycle, including experimentation, logging, deployment, and monitoring.
- Design and architect infrastructure to manage data assets, models, and codes.
- Implement ETL pipelines to ingest and process data from various sources.
We’d love to hear from you, if…
- You have worked as a Data Engineer or Senior Data Engineer previously.
- You are proactive, bringing ideas to the table, identifying data engineering opportunities and presenting well-thought-out solutions.
- You enjoy collaborating with cross functional teams to deliver a wide range of business initiatives.
- You have designed and built data architectures or contributed to the development of data pipelines.
- You have owned and maintained infrastructure for data processing and reporting, including data warehousing, data modelling, or data governance.
- You have hands-on experience in building tooling to support and optimise the ML model development lifecycle, including experimentation, logging, deployment, and monitoring capabilities. Familiarity with MLOps tools and methodologies is a plus.
- You are proficient in programming languages like Python and experience working with relational SQL and NoSQL databases. Familiarity with data engineering tools such as MLFlow, Kubernetes, dbt, Terraform, and Redshift is preferred.
