Working alongside the business, IT and data science teams in all source markets, as a Senior Analytics Product Owner, you will be accountable for the design and development of analytical solutions using a variety of technologies, and techniques. You will work closely with key stakeholders to define and manage the strategic roadmap for the delivery of the analytical solutions and for ensuring that the end-to-end deliverable meets TUI’s desire to effectively leverage the use of business data to make strategic business decisions.

We are looking for experienced Senior Analytics Product Owners to become part of our ambitious commercial analytics team, as we embark on an exciting transformation developing a single data platform. You will be working with the latest technology, with access to ongoing learning and opportunities for self-development, whilst establishing yourself in our global network of experts. We are an international team with people based in multiple markets across Europe and we aim to design solutions to be deployed across multiple markets so although location is flexible some travel will be required.

ABOUT THE JOB

As a Senior Analytics Product Owner, you will have the sole responsibility for delivering data and or reporting commercial analytic products or solutions. The work you carry out may be across multiple projects or you may also work alongside other Product Owners in the wider Commercial Analytics Team to delivery a larger commercial analytic products or solution.

  • You will work closely with key business stakeholders at senior management level to understand their business problems. You will use this knowledge to identify potential data and reporting analytic solutions and shape the design and delivery of a solution which delivers strategic business value
  • You will play a key role in defining, structuring and prioritising the work required to develop and deliver the solution. This will include the ownership of a clear delivery plan with milestones that can be tracked by senior management and the larger agile team of developers, architects and Business Intelligence analysts and data scientists.
  • You will play a key role at all stages of the solution development cycle. Your responsibilities will include
  • Clear definition of high-level business requirements for the IT delivery team
  • Working closely with the delivery team to shape the definition of the analytic product
  • Facilitation of key meetings with senior business and IT stakeholders to ensure that they are kept informed of the progress of the delivery and that that there is clear visibility of any issues and concerns that may arise
  • Ensuring that there is a clear backlog for tracking and assigning the key tasks required to deliver the solution
  • Ensuring that the delivery of the solution is properly documented using agreed TUI standards
  • Resource planning for the delivery of the solution
  • ensuring that you work with your stakeholders and the wider team to facilitate any training requirements
  • ensuring that there is a clear plan for the ongoing support for your product once it has been delivered
  • ensuring that capabilities are in place to track the benefits of the solution
  • You may also have a role to coach and line manage more junior analytics team members.

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience of data modelling and delivering datawarehousing solutions
  • Proven experience of delivering reporting solutions ( preferably Business Objects and Tableau )
  • Proven competency of advanced SQL
  • Proven experience of structuring and solving complex business problems using data and technology
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship skills
  • Comfortable managing and influencing senior stakeholders and team members
  • Structured and logical thinker with strong financial and commercial acumen
  • A strong background in analytics with hands on experience in developing data and analytics solutions
  • Strong interest in technology and commitment to application of data in decision-making
  • Customer and internal client centric – working in partnership with both internal “customers”, and external customers, balancing this with commercial and business drivers and goals
  • Experience working across boundaries and with multi-cultural teams
  • Self-motivated individual who takes initiative and works collaboratively
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and quickly adapt to changes in priority
