Hybrid 80% homeworking and 20% from Stratford upon Avon
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join NFU Mutual’s Conduct Regulation Assurance Team and take on a role where your work can make a genuine difference to our customers and our business. This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
Sitting within Group Compliance in the Risk Division, we provide independent second-line assurance over some of the most important conduct risks facing NFU Mutual. The variety of our work means you’ll gain broad exposure across the organisation, building an understanding of different areas of the business and how they deliver good outcomes for customers.
This is a role where you’ll be encouraged to be curious, ask questions and get beneath the surface of how things work. You’ll plan and deliver assurance reviews, using evidence, data and your judgement to assess how effectively conduct risks are being managed. You’ll identify emerging issues, challenge constructively and turn your findings into clear insights and practical recommendations that help the business improve.
You’ll work with colleagues and stakeholders from across NFU Mutual, building relationships and developing a broad understanding of our business along the way. Your knowledge of conduct regulation will enable you to assess risk, challenge controls and communicate clear, balanced findings that support good customer outcomes.
You’ll also be joining a supportive and collaborative team that is passionate about delivering high-quality assurance and continually improving how we work. Alongside your core assurance work, there will be opportunities to contribute to wider projects and initiatives, giving you the chance to broaden your knowledge and develop skills that can support your future career.
This role is based in our Tiddington Head Office, just outside Stratford Upon Avon. However, we understand how important a positive work life balance is, so to help you give your best, we offer great facilities when you want to be in an office environment and support to work up to 80% of your hours from home.
About you
You are a critical and analytical thinker who can turn complex evidence into a clear story. You communicate effectively, engage stakeholders confidently, and use influencing skills to challenge constructively. You look for continuous improvement, apply sound judgement and solve problems while balancing priorities and deadlines.
To join our team, you’ll also bring
Experience in second line assurance, internal audit, risk or compliance, with the ability to assess controls and conduct effective reviews.
A good understanding of the FCA Handbook, conduct regulation and the FCA approach to policy and supervision.
Confidence using technology to find, evaluate, analyse and communicate information, together with an interest in how emerging tools and techniques can improve assurance.
