Job Description

About the role

The Treasury Operations Specialist plays a foundational role in the company’s global cash management operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and stability of our core banking, reconciliation, and payment processes.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured, predictable tasks, finds satisfaction in ensuring things are done correctly, and takes pride in being the person who keeps the system running smoothly behind the scenes.

If you prefer depth over noise, consistency over chaos, and you enjoy improving your speed and accuracy through repetition — this role will fit you perfectly.

This role operates under the coordination of the Treasury Operations Team Lead, who provides prioritisation, escalation support, and shielding from organisational noise.

Why this role matters:

The role ensures the foundations of Treasury run smoothly. When this role is performed well, the entire business experiences fewer delays, fewer questions, and fewer risks — meaning better decisions can be made faster.

You are the quiet force that keeps the financial system moving.

This role is designed for someone who:
- Enjoys structured, process-driven work
- Takes pride in being accurate and consistent
- Is calm, focused, and methodical
- Notices small details before they become big issues
- Likes working independently without the need for constant meetings
- Communicates clearly and concisely when updates are needed
- Prefers clarity, checklists, and routine
- Is comfortable with repetitive workflows — and often get faster and better at them
- Can work quietly and autonomously
- Asks questions when needed, but doesn't require hand-holding
- Understands the importance of reliable execution in financial operations
- Sees improvement as small, consistent refinements — not dramatic reinvention

Success in this role looks like:
- Bank reconciliations are completed accurately and on schedule
- Exceptions are documented clearly and tracked until resolved
- Payment batches are clean and correct
- Reports are standardised, predictable, and error-free
- Treasury operations feel stable, controlled, and quiet

What you'll be doing

Daily
- Perform bank reconciliations across multiple platforms (primarily NetSuite with secondary exposure to Xero)
- Match transactions, clear exceptions, and document resolution
- Prepare and validate supplier payment templates and account changes
- Maintain clean, accurate data and audit-ready documentation

Weekly
- Run predefined treasury reports (balances, rec status, exceptions)
- Update exception logs and outstanding item trackers

Twice Monthly
- Prepare payment batches
- Peer-review colleague’s batches for accuracy and policy compliance

Monthly
- Assist with month-end reconciliation close
- Download and archive bank statements
- Support creation and improvement of SOP documentation

Qualifications

Essential
- Experience in finance operations, payment processing, reconciliations, or data-entry roles
- Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work independently and asynchronously with the UK team

Desirable
- Experience with Xero, NetSuite, or other ERP/payment systems
- Familiarity with AP/AR processes
- Experience in highly structured or regulated environments
