SAP's Global Treasury department plays a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of the SAP Group. We manage essential functions including capital market strategy, funding, investments, and comprehensive financial risk management. Our team oversees SAP’s global Payment Factory and Inhouse Bank, ensuring effective global cash management and aligning with SAP’s innovation-driven culture.
As a crucial partner to the Executive Board, we drive SAP's growth through co-innovation with internal teams and regular engagement with our customers. Our collaborative approach extends to national and international subsidiaries, ensuring seamless financial management worldwide. Strong partnerships with banks, auditors, and internal stakeholders from accounting, tax, legal, investor relations to the local CFO’s are integral to our success.
Your role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Finance Specialist to become an integral part of our Treasury Operations and Processes Team. As a Finance Specialist, you will oversee the Global Banking & Compliance activities essential for bank account management, electronic banking administration, maintenance of bank signatories, as well as bank regulatory reporting. Your role will ensure the efficient and compliant operation of SAP's payment processes, and you will establish standards to support simplification and automation of SAP’s Bank Account Management systems.
In your capacity, you will support SAP’s worldwide bank accounts and banking tools, ensure timely AML/KYC/FATCA requests from SAP’s bank and SOX compliant maintenance of SAP’s bank signatories.
Reporting to the Head of Treasury Infrastructure & Operations, you will support a transformational phase focused on optimizing processes, implementing strategic initiatives, and fostering innovation. Your responsibilities will encompass engaging with the team through effective execution of Treasury projects and cross-functional collaborations. In this role, you will be crucial in ensuring robust and efficient operations in Global Bank Administration and Compliance, leveraging your expertise to enhance SAP's financial infrastructure.
As a candidate, you will interact with Treasury, the Shared Service Centers, Tax, Legal, Payroll, and external entities, including Banks and Auditors. You will continuously strive for innovation, automation, and process optimization based on SAP Standard Solutions, assuring state-of-the-art Treasury processes.
Expectations and Tasks
- Be an integral part of the Treasury Infrastructure & Processes team focusing on Global Banking & Compliance activities.
- Oversee a state-of-the-art Bank Account Management system as well as external banking tools to ensure compliant SAP payment processes
- Manage SAP’s bank accounts, handling associated authorizations and signatories, while fostering standardization and automation.
- Actively co-innovate and expand the use of SAP's standard Treasury solutions, providing feedback for development areas, acting as a pilot customer, and supporting sales activities with "SAP Treasury runs SAP" showcases and thought leadership demonstrations.
- Drive organizational transformation through automation.
- Collaborate closely with Tax, Accounting, CFOs, IT, SAP Standard Development, and the Shared Services Organization to ensure seamless integration and execution of initiatives.
- Propel Finance Transformation initiatives with the overarching goal of creating a more agile organization.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in SAP’s Finance & Treasury applications and solid accounting skills, with dedicated knowledge in Treasury operations.
- Self-motivated individual with excellent teamwork abilities and a passion for Treasury operations.
- Proven track record in executing complex cross-organizational projects.
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a global, virtual environment across multiple time zones.
- Strategic thinker with creative problem-solving skills, acting as a business partner and transformation leader.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience in project management involving internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Office suite.
Work Experience
- Preferred 2+ year experience in international Treasury, with a focus on global Cash Management and Treasury applications and processes.
