Approach to diversity & inclusion
We know that, historically, the tech sector has felt out of reach or even unwelcoming to many people. At The Adaptavist Group, we're committed to changing that. It's our people who make our success, and we believe that a diverse community—one where everyone feels respected, included, and valued—makes us stronger, more innovative, and more creative as a whole.
We put this into practice by creating an environment that accommodates and supports people from all backgrounds, offering flexible ways of working and workplace benefits that are genuinely helpful, as well as keeping an open dialogue and welcoming feedback on these topics.
Whether you've worked in tech for your whole career or this is a brand new direction for you, your experience and skills are valuable to us. We need fresh perspectives, forward thinkers, and problem solvers. We see the whole person, and we hire people who we believe will make a positive contribution to our community.
We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, and particularly those who are often underrepresented in our industry, such as women and people of colour.
Flexible working at Adaptavist Group
We're a digital-first business, making change happen from all over the world. You have the option to work remotely in any country where we have a legal entity, or join your colleagues in person in one of our local offices.
We trust you to decide how and where you do your best work, and we never want work to get in the way of the things that are important in your life. We believe that flexibility is key to happy people making great things happen.

We welcomed D'Janae Robinson, MBA to deliver this company-wide keynote via Zoom last Thursday, as part of our International Women's Week activities, and we can't stop raving about how amazing it was!
The women and allies on the call said that they felt seen, heard, empowered, and uplifted by D'Janae's infectious positive energy—and we were all, as D'Janae calls it, 'challenged with love'.
A huge thank you, D'Janae Robinson, for sharing your wisdom with us. 💜

Louise Robey brought us this inspiring keynote session last week, focused on the importance of allyship.
With some great real-world examples from throughout her impressive career, Louise's message was clear: we all have a part to play in supporting others, and while it may not always be easy, it is always the right thing to do.
Thank you, Louise Robey, for being part of our International Women's Week!

Confidence—or lack of it—is such a common blocker for so many of us trying to advance in our careers.
Nicole's keynote last week was a breath of fresh air, encouraging us to be vulnerable and honest about where we lack confidence, and giving us the tools to start tackling those moments of self-doubt.
Thanks so much, Nicole Greenfield-Smith, for facilitating this session to set us up for success!

If you could give one piece of advice to someone starting out in your industry, what would it be?
We asked some of the folks at Salable to share their tips for aspiring software developers, and they helped us put together these five things that every budding engineer should know👇
Anything you'd add? What career advice would you give to your younger self?

Thanks to Gemma Gratton and Josephine Perruzza for our recent TAG Talk! Mind to Mood delivered a positive and practical session focused on setting intentions, reframing our mindset, and avoiding burnout at work.
From time to time, we all need to be reminded to take a step back, so here are five top tips we took note of ⬇️
1. Recognise the signs
Feeling exhausted, irritable, and unproductive? Don't ignore the red flags. Address the symptoms of burnout before they take over.
2. Set boundaries
Your time is precious. Learn to say 'no' to nonessential tasks when you do...

Physical offices: a relic of the pre-COVID era, or a vital hub of social connection? 🤔
According to a recent New York Post article, Gen Z is the most likely group to avoid in-person chats at the office, preferring fully digital communication with colleagues. Our 2024 Digital Etiquette: Mind the generational gap report (https://bit.ly/4heVetN) also showed that the younger generations entering the workforce increasingly have hugely different preferences than their older colleagues.
So, especially for a company like ours where everyone can choose where they wa...https://bit.ly/4heV6KP

Employee reviews
Adaptavist Group's employees have anonymously had their say in what they think of the company
"Great company culture, flexible working really means flexible in this company. My work/life balance in this role is far better than any previous company I have been at, and you are empowered and trusted to do quality work around your other commitments from day one. As with any growing company there are some teething issues but these are listened to and addressed where possible."
"Lots of flexibility and trust in the employees."
"Working as a part of the Adaptavist group is fantastic. Everyone is so kind and understanding, if you need to pop out for 30 minutes during the day or have an appointment it's never a problem. It's a very respectful environment.
The culture is also great. Regular all-hands calls, show and tell sessions and open mic meetings mean that even though you will more than likely WFH full time you don't really feel lonely. People are always happy to talk and there's a great support network if you ever need it.
On the topic of benefits this is probably the best benefit package I've ever had. Unlimited PTO (which, actually, really is treated as unlimited and not just an extra few days on top of a regular allowance), private health care coverage (benefit in kind, so not totally free but heavily subsidised), WFH, regular socials/meetups/events as well as a few other things."
"Adaptavist is by far the best company I've worked for in my 25+ years working online. Great attitude and consideration for so many aspects and make you feel appreciated and valued, encourage further learning, are far more inclusive than any other company I've worked for, and seem to go above and beyond in every regard."
"A really unique company that is truly remote-first and allows people to focus on bringing their best into the workplace."
"I think companies like this are rare. It's something you don't see much of but it certainly works, Adaptavist cares for employees, works around home life and aids in whatever way it can."
