Reports to: Head of Corporate Data Governance and Special Programmes.
Location: UK (Paddington)
What you’ll do
- You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how Vodafone manages, protects and uses data across the entire organisation.
- You’ll design and deliver a best‑in‑class Data Governance Framework, ensuring our people, processes and tools work together to create trusted, high‑quality data that fuels better decisions.
- You’ll collaborate closely with senior leaders, local markets, technical teams and external partners to embed strong governance practices and drive cultural change.
- You’ll lead a team, guide a wider virtual community, and oversee a complex, multinational programme that strengthens compliance, improves data maturity and supports our strategic goals.
- You’ll also champion the rollout of governance tooling, manage risks and interdependencies, and ensure our policies and standards are understood, adopted and continuously improved.
Who you are
Someone with proven experience delivering Data Governance frameworks in large, complex organisations
A strategic thinker who can translate big‑picture goals into practical plans and influence senior stakeholders
A collaborative leader with strong communication skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse teams
A data governance expert with knowledge of industry frameworks (e.g., DAMA, COBIT, ISO standards, BCBS‑239) and familiarity with tools such as Collibra, Informatica or Ab Initio
A programme leader comfortable managing cross‑functional initiatives, navigating ambiguity and driving progress without relying on formal authority
Someone who understands data management principles, metadata, data quality, master data, architecture and the full information lifecycle
A person committed to inclusive teamwork, open dialogue and creating an environment where everyone can contribute and thrive
