Junior Account Manager

Employment type:  Full time
Salary:  £28,000 – £33,000 per annum uncapped commission

Job Description

Responsibilities & Duties:

As a Junior Account Manager, you’ll play a key role in building strong client relationships and proactively driving revenue growth. You will be part of a collaborative, high-energy sales team, reporting to the Existing Business Sales Manager and working closely with colleagues across Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience and Training & Integration.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Customer Relationship Management: Owning and growing a portfolio of existing accounts by building strong, trusted relationships and delivering excellent customer experiences
  • Consultative Sales: Conducting business reviews, understanding client needs, and proactively identifying growth opportunities
  • Revenue & KPI Achievement: Managing the sales cycle from enquiry to close, ensuring you meet revenue and client engagement targets
  • Strategic Outreach: Driving outbound sales activity, booking regular client meetings and ensuring high-quality interactions
  • Contract Management & Renewals: Proactively identifying contract and contract renewal opportunities, ensuring retention and expansion of existing accounts
  • Project & Pipeline Management: Staying on top of client projects and deals, ensuring opportunities are well-documented and executed in a timely manner
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Working with internal teams and stakeholders to execute projects that drive engagement and client growth
  • CRM & Process Management: Maintaining accurate records in Salesforce, tracking all interactions, and proactively following up on client needs to ensure smooth operations.

Skills & Attributes:

We’re looking for someone who is driven, proactive, and excellent at building relationships. If you have a mix of the following skills and attributes, you might be just who we’re looking for:

  • At least 2+ years of experience in Sales or Account Management
  • Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to connect with customers and collaborate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders
  • A results-driven mindset, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales or customer engagement targets
  • Experience with managing contracts, renewals, or commercial agreements
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence in customer conversations
  • Highly organised and accountable, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Resilience and adaptability with the ability to handle challenges, learn from feedback, and demonstrate a growth mindset
  • Tech-savvy and process-driven, comfortable using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and sales tools to track performance.
