Job Description

What do we do?

Paddle offers SaaS companies a completely different approach to their payment infrastructure. Instead of assembling and maintaining a complex stack of payments-related apps and services, we’re a Merchant of Record for our customers. That means we take away 100% of the pain of payment fragmentation. It’s faster, safer, cheaper, and, above all, way better.

We’re backed by investors including KKR, FTV Capital, Kindred, Notion, and 83North and serve over 3000 software sellers in 245 territories globally.

The Role:

As Senior Product Marketing Analyst, Market Research and Insights, you’ll work closely with Paddle’s PMM + Content, go-to-market, Product, Demand Generation, Data Insights, and Sales teams. Your focus will be on leveraging market research and insights to drive data-driven content strategies that effectively educate and engage Paddle’s target audiences across various global go-to-market initiatives. By prioritizing content for growth, you will take ownership of a vital segment within Paddle’s comprehensive content strategy, which directly contributes to measurable pipeline impact.

To be successful in this role, beyond exceptional research, ideation, and writing skills, you’ll need to be comfortable scoping and delivering content strategies that align with commercial targets. You’ll also need to be adept at managing stakeholder expectations and prioritizing requests.

What you'll do:

  • Metrics Product

    • Serve as the primary marketing point of contact for the Metrics product, working closely with other cross-functional teams including, but not limited to, Marketing, Product, and Sales.

    • Own the definition, tracking, and analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to new signups and user activity for the Metrics product.

    • Use data to identify opportunities to optimize user acquisition, onboarding processes, and engagement strategies, specifically for the Metrics product.

    • Develop and execute data-driven initiatives and experiments to drive growth in new Metrics product signups and user activity.

    • Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights related to SaaS industry trends, behaviors, and market dynamics.

    • Identify key signals and trends in the data to formulate a well-informed Point of View (POV) and narrative regarding the analysis, along with possible findings that could inform product performance, market opportunities, and customer needs.

    • Continuously monitor and analyze product data to track the effectiveness of implemented changes (if applicable) and iterate on the POV as necessary, ensuring that it remains aligned with evolving market dynamics and customer requirements.

    • Provide data-driven recommendations to internal stakeholders, including executives, product teams, and marketing teams, to guide decision-making and drive product improvements.

    • Present findings and insights to both internal and external stakeholders through clear and compelling reports and presentations.

    Data Analysis

    • Data Storytelling: This individual needs to be a proficient storyteller. They need to transform complex data and analysis into clear, engaging narratives. It goes beyond presenting numbers by linking data to real-world scenarios and decision-making. This individual must bridge the gap between raw data and actionable insights to empower decision-makers.

    • Data Education and Evangelism: This individual will act as a data evangelist within the organization, educating others on the value of data and how to interpret it effectively. They will lead by example, demonstrating how to use data to support narratives and guide decisions effectively.

    • Identify Data Challenges: The individual must possess a keen eye for recognizing potential issues within our dataset. This includes identifying data inconsistencies, inaccuracies, missing information, and any biases that might affect the quality and reliability of our data.

    • Data Structure Evaluation: Beyond just the data itself, this individual needs to be able to assess the structure in which the data is organized. This individual should have familiarity with evaluating the data architecture to ensure it supports our data-driven initiatives.

    • Methodology Enhancement: Continuously evolve our data collection and analysis methodologies. This person will play an active role in reviewing and updating our data collection methods and analytical techniques. They should be able to propose improvements and adaptations to keep our data practices in line with industry standards and best practices.

  • Growth Acceleration Projects
In addition to your core responsibilities, you will have the chance to contribute to special projects that are dedicated to growth acceleration. These projects entail utilizing your expertise in data analysis and insights to uncover untapped opportunities, optimize strategies, and propel growth. Collaborating cross-functionally, you will work closely with various leaders and teams to develop and execute initiatives aimed at expanding our customer base, increasing user engagement, and driving revenue growth.

    • Lead and drive Growth Acceleration Projects, including those initiated by leadership and assigned for analysis and execution.

    • Utilize your expertise in data analysis and insights to uncover actionable opportunities for rapid growth in both self-initiated and leadership-assigned growth projects.

We'd love to hear from you:

  • Exceptional research and writing skills, with the ability to understand and clearly communicate complex subject matter

  • The ability to collaborate effectively with people across all levels and functions of an organization

  • Experience producing content across formats and working with different kinds of creatives (writers, videographers, illustrators, graphic designers)

  • You’re a fast learner and have an appetite for fast-paced work

  • Have had some experience in competitive intelligence and analysis

A Nice to Have
- Proven experience in SaaS or Fintech with a background in content or growth marketing (and we’ll be extra excited if you have a payments background)
