What Ben employees think

Mentions of

I think Ben has a great balance of flexibility -- it's about as flexi as you can get while still having some structure. As long as I don't have calls (which, of course some people have far more calls during core hours than I do), I can take breaks whenever I need and make up the time later!

Giving us the option to choose when we work in office instead of telling us when we have to.

The people, the benefits, the opportunity, the fun, the passion, the team lunches are all amazing!

About us

Our Mission

The way companies reward their people today is broken - it's a rigid, one-size-fits-all approach that hasn't evolved to meet the demands of the modern workforce. How we work is changing, but compensation - salary, bonus, equity, benefits - has been stuck in the same place for decades. Ben is changing that, starting with employee benefits. Our mission is to make benefits and pay work for everyone, everywhere.

We have been featured in TechCrunch and Financial Times (to name a few) and we're super proud to be backed by some of Europe's leading VC funds including Atomico, Seedcamp, Cherry, and DN Capital and the people behind companies such as Indeed.com, Peakon, Personio, Wise, Workday, and GoCardless.

Flexible working at Ben

Here at Ben, we know there's no one-size-fits-all when it comes to work, which is why we're dedicated to providing a flexible and inclusive approach for our employees.

Most of our teams work in a hybrid setup, with 2-3 days per week in the office. We are based in central London in a great space in a WeWork. We value the strength of collaboration created whilst working together in the same place, so we try to use these days as team and company anchor days. Plus, our offices are pet-friendly, so bring them along too (the team will love you for it)!

We also want to allow people to embrace their own preferred ways of working and maintain work/life balance, so for the remaining days you are flexible to work from home or in the office — whatever suits you! We'll provide a generous work-from-home allowance to support you with this.

Last, but by no means least, we know that people at Ben work hard and contribute a huge amount, so we offer generous leave allowances (28-30 days depending on length of service + the option to buy or sell) - and there's also a work-from-abroad scheme so you can make the most of your time away.

Approach to diversity & inclusion

Our culture is ever-evolving and is defined by our people. We don’t hire clones, we hire individuals.

  • We celebrate diversity

  • We listen to our people

  • We work autonomously
    and...

  • We have fun!

We are organically growing a brilliantly diverse, inclusive and respectful bunch of people we are extremely proud of. However, we know that diversity and inclusion requires thought and attention, so we are building our DEIB strategy to include:

  • Building structured career progression and compensation frameworks

  • Implementing consistent and objective interviewing processes

  • Investing in recruiting platforms that have strong DEIB credentials

  • Regularly capturing DEIB data through surveys and using insights to shape our people & talent roadmap

  • Hosting DEIB breakfast & learn sessions to share insights, actions and get feedback

  • Recognising the needs of different employees, such as the option of swapping for days of celebration that are significant to you, flexible working options and flexible benefits!

What do we think of Ben?

Ben live and breathe flexibility! A really cool company with a fantastic bunch of people.
