Where you’ll work:

Depending on the needs of your business area, we expect hub based people to be in the office at least once a week, and to go to OVO Connection events in-person.

You’ll be assigned to the closest one of our three hub offices, Bristol, Glasgow, or London; unless your role requires field-based work. Each hub has accessible spaces to park your laptop, is designed to inspire people, help them connect and bring big ideas to life.

This role in a nutshell:

As a Senior Product Manager in the Beyond team, you’ll help shape and deliver the Beyond strategy. You’ll set the longer-term roadmap for a significant product area, ensuring it reflects customer needs, behavioural insight, commercial opportunity, and strategic alignment with OVO. You will create and execute a plan that you’ve crafted through data, customer research, and a strong understanding of the role Beyond plays across OVO.

This is a role for someone who brings expert product craft, deep customer insight, and strategic clarity - and can translate all of that into a compelling product that teams and stakeholders can rally behind and deliver.

Your key outcomes will be:

Shaping and owning the product direction

  • Define and evolve the multi-quarter product strategy and roadmap for your area of Beyond, ensuring it aligns with broader proposition goals.
  • Identify and prioritise the biggest opportunities to drive customer value, engagement, and loyalty, balancing long-term ambition with short-term impact.
  • Use insight, data, and behavioural understanding to make strategic choices that set Beyond up for measurable business success.

Be the expert on Beyond customers

  • Develop a deep, evidence-based understanding of Beyond customer behaviour - combining qualitative research, app analytics, retention data, and commercial insight.
  • Bring the voice of the customer into every workshop, prioritisation session, and stakeholder discussion - ensuring decisions are grounded in real needs, motivations, and pain points.
  • Proactively uncover unmet needs and identify new strategic opportunities based on behavioural patterns and market signals.

Drive alignment and influence across OVO

  • Communicate product direction and rationale with clarity and confidence to senior stakeholders, simplifying complexity and building alignment around key decisions.
  • Act as the storyteller for your product area, ensuring the wider business understands the long-term vision and the path to get there.
  • Work with OVO’s wider product and tech teams on release processes and incident management, ensuring Beyond’s needs are represented - enabling delivery at pace.

Ensure high-quality delivery through expert product craft

  • Apply strong product fundamentals - discovery, experimentation, hypothesis design, success metrics, delivery patterns and JIRA management.
  • Ensure your squad is positioned to execute effectively, setting clear expectations around the problems to solve, the impact to achieve, and the standards of quality.
  • Leverage your experience to remove blockers and maintain a high bar for product excellence.

  • Have a track record of delivering strong results as a product manager.
  • Bring a deep understanding of customer behaviour and can translate qualitative and quantitative insight into compelling product decisions.
  • A history of creating solutions and experiences people love and find intuitive.
  • Can confidently set direction in ambiguous environments, creating clarity where none exists.
  • Are a strong communicator and storyteller, able to influence at all levels and build alignment across diverse teams.
  • You have strong analytical skills, able to cut through opinions with data
  • Are commercially minded and have experience with customer retention and relevant commercial/customer metrics.
  • Have mastered the fundamentals of product delivery - discovery, experimentation (AB testing), user stories, requirements, agile practices.
  • Thrive in environments where pace, ownership, strategic thinking, and bold ideas are valued.
  • Know what amazing app-first customer experiences look like.
  • Are proactive, meticulous, and driven in how to operate and deliver.

We’ll pay you between £65,000 and £75,000, depending on your specific skills and experience.

We keep our pay ranges broad on purpose to give us, and you, flexibility to match your experience to our zero carbon mission.

You’ll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
