Flexible Working

The BT group operates a 3 together, 2 wherever working model. This means you are required to be at your contractual location 3 days a week with 2 flexible days per week.

The Scope

This role is central to BT Security’s ambition to deliver a new portfolio that drives growth toward the £1bn revenue target by 2030. It’s not a typical BAU product role, this is about shaping how BT enters the market with Secure Connectivity security propositions, creating differentiation, and making security simple and consumable for Business customers.

The position will influence BT’s competitive stance, combine security with connectivity, and help define the roadmap for future innovation, including AI-driven capabilities.

What you’ll be doing

Deliver the go-to-market strategy and manage the full lifecycle for BT’s Secure Connectivity Security portfolio, including launch, in-life, optimisation, and withdrawal.

Define the product roadmap and convert existing security capabilities into integrated solutions that can be sold standalone or bundled with connectivity.

Develop and challenge business cases, set pricing, manage budgets, and conduct financial modelling to ensure commercial viability.

Simplify complex security propositions into easy-to-sell solutions using customer insights and competitive analysis.

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to integrate security into BT’s connectivity portfolio and produce sales collateral to support bids.

Drive innovation and differentiation by introducing new technologies such as AI and continuously improving customer experience and product performance.

Ensure scalability and automation in product design to support high-volume sales without manual intervention.

Experience needed to be successful in the role

Proven product management experience, including new market launches and in-life management of B2B products and services.

Strong commercial acumen with ability to develop and challenge business cases, set pricing and manage budgets.

Customer-focused approach with capability to simplify complex propositions into easy-to-sell solutions using insights and competitive analysis.

Skilled in stakeholder engagement and collaboration across multiple teams and vendors, with influence at senior levels.

Excellent communication and storytelling skills to translate technical and commercial concepts into clear, compelling narratives.

Analytical and data-driven mindset, using KPIs and market trends to inform decisions and optimise product performance.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and workstreams using agile methodologies.

Innovative and growth-oriented, with curiosity to embed new technologies such as AI into product offerings.
