Where you’ll work:

Depending on the needs of your business area, we expect hub based people to be in the office at least once a week, and to go to OVO Connection events in-person.

You’ll be assigned to the closest one of our three hub offices, Bristol, Glasgow, or London; unless your role requires field-based work. Each hub has accessible spaces to park your laptop, is designed to inspire people, help them connect and bring big ideas to life.

The Design team is the DNA that exists to connect our customers, business and brand. We play a pivotal role in helping and supporting our customers on our Zero Carbon journey by crafting experiences that power the movement today and lead the path to the future.

This role in a nutshell:

We’re looking for a Content Producer to help make sure we publish clear, accurate content in the right place at the right time.

Your key outcomes will be:

  • Take ownership of day-to-day website and app updates.
  • Manage, build, and publish content using our CMS, ensuring every page is optimised for accessibility and SEO.
  • Work efficiently through Jira tickets, treating every task with high attention to detail to ensure error-free delivery.
  • Strictly follow defined workflows to guarantee that all published content is accurate and meets our legal and regulatory compliance guidelines.
  • Partner closely with key stakeholders and our Creative Studio to take their designs and copy, translating them into clear, compelling live digital content.
  • Help maintain overall site health by fixing bugs and flagging possible website issues.
  • Support the wider content strategy by helping to audit existing content and flag opportunities to improve the user experience.

Within your first 6 months month you’ll:

  • Have published a high volume of content to our website and app.
  • Feel confident navigating and building within our CMS.
  • Be a familiar face to your team and key cross-functional stakeholders.

Systems: Contentful, Jira, Figma, Miro, G-Suite.

You’ll be a successful Content Producer at OVO if…

  • You love the technical side of content.
  • You’re highly organised and collaborative and continually look for ways to optimise workflows and process
  • You have an eagle eye for spotting formatting errors, broken links, and missing alt-text. You pride yourself on zero-defect publishing.
  • You thrive on working methodically through a queue of Jira tickets, following defined workflows, and reliably getting things over the finish line.
  • While you aren't a developer, you are highly comfortable navigating complex CMS platforms and figure out how to make components work.
  • You don’t sit quietly if you are blocked. You actively reach out to designers and stakeholders to clarify requirements or get the assets you need.
  • When a layout looks weird on mobile or a component breaks, you don't panic. You investigate the issue, run basic QA, and clearly flag bugs to the development team.
  • You are focused on building, formatting, and governing content, rather than writing it from scratch.

We’ll pay you between £40,000 and £47,000, depending on your specific skills and experience.

We keep our pay ranges broad on purpose to give us, and you, flexibility to match your experience to our zero carbon mission.

You’ll be eligible for an on-target bonus of 15%. We have one OVO bonus plan that focuses on the collective performance of our people to deliver our Plan Zero goal.
