Job Description
MBDA's Group Communications team is making a strategic shift to strengthen our brand and engage with new audiences!
Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2 - 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
We are reinforcing our strategic focus, optimising our support activities and significantly increasing our engagement with the general public. Our objective is clear: to ensure every audience, from our customers and shareholders to the wider public, knows, understands and supports MBDA.
As a Communities Manager within the Communities Team of the Communications Operations department, you will be crucial in delivering impactful communication projects aligned with the strategic and business objectives and deliver our engagement strategy in our people communities (e.g MBDA employees, newcomers, managers) engagement across internal and external audiences. Build and animate thriving communication networks that strengthen the Group’s sense of belonging, collaboration, and reputation – both within the organisation and across its stakeholders’ ecosystems.
What you will be doing:
Support the implementation of a comprehensive community engagement strategy covering internal and external audiences (including potential candidates, partners, suppliers, etc.)
Contribute to the editorial roadmap and create content for all communications platforms: website, intranet, corporate social media channels (LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) and other channels (video, podcasts, email, digital screens, etc.)
Be the point of contact for coordination of the editorial planning of the different tools
Ensure editorial consistency (tone, storytelling, visuals) across all channels and touchpoints
Foster employee advocacy by supporting local communication ambassadors and communities of practice
Develop and coordinate the animation of internal networks on our enterprise social platforms
Participate in monitoring and analysis of engagement performance (reach, interaction, sentiment) and recommend continuous improvement actions
Collaborate closely with relevant functions to align community initiatives with corporate culture and strategic priorities
Support the development of social media guidelines, training, and community management best practices
Contribute to the Group’s reputation management by identifying emerging topics and community sentiment
What we're looking for:
Excellent writing and storytelling skills across all communications channels
Interest and understanding of community management tools and analytics dashboards
Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills
Creative mindset with an analytical rigor
