This is an exciting opportunity to be part of MARS Global Transformation with a team of supply chain professionals passionate about growing capability and bringing efficiencies in all we do. The role owns development and governance of our Target Operating Model (TOM) and associated capability development to support full adoption. The role reports into Pet Nutrition but the scope is cross segment, including collaborating globally with associates in Mars Wrigley, Mars Food and Royal Canin.

What are we looking for?

  • A Supply Chain professional with end to end integrated planning experience and exposure to multiple different planning areas (production planning, materials planning, inventory management, activities/ NPD planning, distribution and availability planning, capacity planning, demand planning, etc)
  • Strong understanding and experience of “best in class” planning processes and tools
  • Understanding of the interdependencies between roles across end-to-end Supply Chain
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and strong stake holder management with diverse multi-national team members

What will be your key responsibilities?

The Global Enterprise Planning Design and Governance Lead is responsible for development and governance of processes and role descriptions for Enterprise Planning, including:

  • Distribution Planning / DRP
  • Finished Goods Supply Planning, Factory Scheduling
  • Materials planning and call-off, Materials Supply Management
  • Inventory Management, Network Planning
  • Interdependencies between Demand and Supply Planning and other functions (S&OP management, Commercial / Procurement, Warehousing, Transportation, Manufacturing, Activity Management, etc.)
  • Demand Planning

The role includes the following elements:

  • Governs Global Target Operating Model (TOM) development and owns and leads TOM deployment across all segments and regions.
  • Defines and governs new processes, sub-processes, tasks of new and existing changed roles in line with TOM
  • Defines interfaces across interdependent functions and builds efficient structure to support critical information flow
  • Defines drumbeat based on end-to-end supply chain experience, creating meetings structure (S&OE), which will drive required supply chain efficiencies.
  • Owns and leads Global Supply Chain School capability program. Develops new capability programs in line with TOM. This includes MRP academy, MPS academy, Inventory Management and DRP
  • Ensures training delivery and embedding of capabilities, tracking adoption KPIs to gather insights and drive actions for strengthened adherence to system and process expectations.
  • Governs Communities Of Practice (COP) in different functional areas, defines COP leaders, tracks COPs progress and deliverables.
  • Owns Supply Chain needs assessment, conducts it each year and aligns priorities for capability development based on all segments’ needs.
  • The Global Enterprise Planning Design and Governance Lead will cooperate with the Regional Enterprise Planning project teams as well as Supply Chain Development functional experts to find the best approach to roll out and implement the newly created training systems. This role is the enabler providing critical support for change towards supply chain efficiency.
