Application Service Owner

We’re looking for a hands-on, experienced Application Service Owner who can take charge of key business applications—owning their performance, support, and ongoing improvement. If you enjoy solving problems, managing tech operations, and working across teams to deliver smooth and secure applications, this role is for you.

As an Application Service Owner, you will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle, performance, and continuous improvement of business-critical applications, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Your responsibilities will include leading application implementation projects, managing stakeholder expectations, and driving successful execution from planning to deployment while ensuring scalability, security, and operational excellence.

Technology Service Management Team has responsibility for all the activities, processes, policies, and procedures performed by an organisation to design, implement, improve, and support IT services.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive projects related to application reviews, customer integration & new Application onboarding

  • Procurement / Vendor Management / Cyber Security of Applications

  • Application service owner for multiple applications for Customs Integration platform, accountable for maintaining L1/L2/L3 Technical support

  • Update or create CI and Service Asset & Configuration Management (SACM) data with Service Catalogue Team where required

  • Document or update existing Run Book documentation, Knowledge Management repositories, Disaster Recovery Plans

  • With SOE teams build or extend Performance and Availability Monitoring solution(s) (Riverbed/ Datadog etc)

  • With ITFMO extend IT Financial Management (ITFM) model and data to enable budgeting and cost transparency model

  • Ensure and validate that deployed services align with services strategy, services architecture, and services operating model

  • Design, build and deploy the services required for the transition of new Configuration Items (CI) platform Applications and technologies into Standard Operating Environment (SOE), including definition and build of operational flows


We are looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Application Service Owner

  • CargoWise certification is a plus

  • Hands-on experience with MIC-CUST® (Global Trade Compliance Software) is preferred

  • Experience managing IT services including:

  • IT service management (ITSM), major incident handling, and command centers

  • Application monitoring tools like Riverbed or Datadog

  • Financial models in IT (budgeting, cost tracking)

  • Cloud platforms (PaaS/IaaS), APIs, databases, and identity services

  • Collaboration tools (e.g., MS Teams, Outlook)

  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT operations, tools, and service processes
