About Instant Impact Instant Impact are on a mission to become the Talent Solutions & RPO partner of choice for small & mid-sized businesses. We’re an innovator that’s doing some amazing things for our clients and to get the message out there, we need to have the best Growth team.

We call it Growth here, because it’s not sales, marketing, delivery and customer success working individually, it’s one team working under a common purpose to ‘deliver the sustainable and responsible growth of instant impact’

About the role As our Business Development Specialist (BDS) you will work closely with our Growth function to identify potential customers, generating new business opportunities, and manage leads through the early stages of the sales pipeline.

Within ii we heavily leverage automation and data to ensure you have the right support to conduct focused outreach and follow up activity, with everything you do tracked in HubSpot.

As this role is the first hire in the team, we see it expanding for the right individual to either lead an BDS team or as a more senior individual contributor.

We are a lean team, so you’ll be a key contributor, carrying a quota from day 1. We have a strong offer, are building a world class marketing team and have the pieces in place to help you succeed.

About You If you’re self-motivated, a natural relationship builder with excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic and a passion for sales we want to hear from you. This role will be tough, so you’ve got to be determined to succeed and resilient. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and know how to open and manage a sales process, working through the various opportunity development cycles. You’ll also be a natural problem solver and good with technology.

This role will involve (but not limited to):

  • Sales Outreach: You’ll be spending most of your time contacting potential prospects, you’ll leverage email, LInkedIn, networking and calls to ensure you meet your meeting targets.
  • Collaborating with the team: You won't be doing it all on your own, the Rev Ops team will help you narrow down your prospect lists and automate some of the research and the Generation team will help with sequencing, automation and smart intent-based approaches. You’ll be in a constant feedback loop to make the process smarter and faster.
  • Qualify Prospects & Opportunities: Once you’ve engaged with a prospect, you’ll work with a sales leader to qualify the opportunity, often taking 1st stage qualification calls on your own. Once qualified, you’ll be setting the follow up meeting for the sales leader.
  • Using the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system: You’ll use HubSpot daily to manage leads through the sales process, you’ll also leverage it to track your progress towards both individual and team sales goals.
  • Stay up to date: You’ll spend a portion of each day reading and researching the market to understand trends and changes and what is happening at competitor organisations.

What we need from you:

  • Proven track record in sales or customer service, consistently closing deals in a dynamic, competitive environment.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills that engage and inspire.
  • Talent for building and nurturing lasting relationships.
  • Expertise in modern sales techniques and innovative strategies.
  • Versatile team player with the ability to thrive independently and collaboratively.

What we can offer you in return:

  • The opportunity to have a transformational impact on an agile, growing business
  • Competitive remuneration
  • We're proudly Flexa accredited and boast an outstanding 4.8-star rating on Glassdoor!
  • We happily contribute 2,550 RAND every month to support your medical aid scheme
  • Receive a generous 3,500 RAND home office budget and a 6,500 RAND personal L&D budget to support your professional growth
  • 20 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays, 1x Employee enrichment day and 1x Recharge Day per annum)
  • Lots of other benefits aligning with our purpose of building a world class business that people love being a part of!
