Our Recruitment Process

Due to unprecedented interest in this role, Impression is implementing a couple of stages to this recruitment. To help you understand what this will look like, we’ve included details below:

Step 1: Apply and first-stage assessment.

If you’re interested in the role, click the apply button. You will then be asked to register by completing a form with some details about yourself - including supplying a CV and covering letter.

There are also some short application questions to answer - however we’re more interested in your areas of particular personal interest in Paid Media, and how your previous experience might relate to the questions, than purely getting the ‘right’ answer.

We will also ask you to complete a short data analysis task. This gives you an insight into the type of work you might get involved with. It’s also a chance for us to assess your skills in data analysis.

The data analysis task and application questions combined should take no more than 30-45 mins to complete.

Step 2: Attend recruitment day

The final stage of the application process is a half day of assessments held in person at our Nottingham head office on Wednesday 7th August. There will be other candidates in attendance and a couple of the Impression team involved. You’ll be asked to complete a mix of tasks, including short problem-solving style activities, group tasks, and a one-to-one interview.

But the day isn’t just about us assessing you – you’ll get to learn more about us too, see the office environment, and learn about our values and our culture. You’ll also get to talk with some of our current colleagues who can tell you about their own journey and answer your questions.

What you’ll need

You will need access to a laptop or tablet, and to bring along your ID. If relevant, please bring along your proof of right to work in the UK.

We appreciate that not everyone has access to a laptop or tablet. And that’s OK, we can help if that’s the case. Just let us know beforehand so we can get any equipment you might need set up.

How to prepare for the recruitment day

While there’s nothing specific you can prepare in advance, we do recommend spending time reviewing the job description, company information, and preparing any questions you’d like to ask us about the role.

Step 3: Successful Candidates

Successful candidates will be provided with a job offer to start working at Impression from the 10th September. Hopefully this date will work for you, but don’t panic if not - we can discuss this when the time comes!
