Senior SEO Manager

The Senior SEO Manager leads everything SEO related across the BG Services portfolio across Technical, Onsite and Digital PR. This person will drive growth and create a clear vision of positive change for the SEO programme within the business; working closely with agency partners, internal marketing colleagues, and commercial stakeholders to drive forward-progress.

Data-driven and commercially minded, this person needs to be able to create the vision for SEO within Services while also building the strong relationships, accountability and transparency needed to make that a reality.

About the Role:

  • Work with our agency to define and own a clear and communicable SEO strategy across Services

  • Lead SEO best practice, working closely with Digital/Ecommerce team and CMS stakeholders to ensure best in class Technical SEO and Information Architecture

  • Create visible roadmaps for growth which align with the priorities of commercial stakeholders and marketing leads of each Services product

  • Manage the delivery of the SEO roadmap for Services – ensuring alignment with Digital & CMS stakeholders

  • Lead the improvement of SEO reporting and insight to better inform our business of current trading performance and opportunity while working to keep marketing leads informed of organic search performance

  • Define and lead the content marketing strategy, working with agency and internal content stakeholders to produce content

  • Be the figurehead and thought leader for SEO best practice within Services – building close relationships with Digital and CMS team to ensure SEO has a voice when decisions about the site are made and informing stakeholders about the everchanging landscape of SEO

  • Define the future of our agency relationship including an evaluation of our ability to take SEO in-house and what that would mean for the business

  • Work with paid media team to create spend efficiency in areas of organic success

About You

  • Demonstrable experience in digital marketing with SEO as a specialism

  • Able to influence and inform senior stakeholders at director level

  • Experience working in a regulated industry such as insurance or gambling

  • Experience working closely with technical/dev teams to drive change including experience working within Agile and managing a ticketing system such as Jira

  • Experience working within a hybrid agency/client relationship

  • Able to tell stories with data – can manipulate data to tell a story and influence stakeholders using that data
