An opportunity to play your part – In the role of Service Product Owner (Net Zero) at Centrica, you'll lead the charge in delivering groundbreaking products and service improvements to our customers. You'll oversee the product's journey from conception to market launch, including research, design and strategic deployment ensuring an optimised customer experience . You'll devise and implement robust marketing strategies to propel product evolution in response to market needs. By engaging with our varied clientele, you'll ensure our products precisely meet their needs. You'll act as a crucial link, facilitating clear communication across departments like manufacturing and sales to enhance collaborative efficiency. Your critical role will help forge eco-friendly solutions in line with Centrica's dedication to a Net Zero future, influencing product success and fostering a more sustainable planet.

The day to day –

  • Oversee the articulation and prioritisation of requirements, while upholding the product roadmap and backlogs for the designated Hive and Net Zero products.
  • Assist Senior Product Owners in orchestrating and prioritising bug rectifications and solutions.
  • Collaborate intimately with Senior Product Owners to pinpoint opportunities, customer necessities, and scenarios for product innovation.
  • Actively pursue customer insights, advocating for strategies to address their concerns and sustain a leading Net Promoter Score for Hive products.
  • Assume accountability for the aggregate performance of the products under her purview, emphasising perpetual service enhancement and evolution.
  • Spearhead project execution with the aid of operational teams to ensure the delivery of a superior product and an exceptional customer journey from pilot phases to comprehensive deployment.
  • Represent the products/projects across the organization, ensuring all teams are apprised of developments and exploring fresh avenues to add value for customers, colleagues, and business divisions.
  • Maintain a robust comprehension of the broader market dynamics, including competitive conduct, and the positioning of our offerings.
  • Disseminate exemplary practices in product management and project execution amongst the teams.
  • Forge and nurture outstanding relationships with stakeholders throughout the organisation.
  • Foster a culture of diversity, openness, and confidence, where her team feels encouraged to propose ideas, face challenges, and realise their full potential.

About You –

  • Proficient in agile methodologies to manage product backlogs, plan sprints, and lead Scrum ceremonies for efficient and transparent development processes.
  • Skilled in communicating with stakeholders, managing expectations, and influencing decisions to align the product vision with business objectives.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the product lifecycle, including market analysis, roadmap development, and feature prioritization to meet sustainability goals.
  • Knowledge of sustainable technologies and practices to guide the product development towards net zero targets.
  • Ability to integrate the latest research and innovations in sustainability into product development to stay ahead in the net zero.
  • Strong grasp of business strategies to ensure the product meets market needs while contributing to the net zero agenda.
  • Competence in making informed decisions that balance product viability with environmental impact.
  • Adept at working with cross-functional teams to foster a collaborative environment focused on achieving net zero outcomes.
  • Capable of navigating and resolving conflicts that may arise from the complex interactions between technology, policy, and environmental goals.
