Job Description

Ki is the biggest global insurance tech company you’ve never heard of, unless you’ve been looking to insure a satellite, wind farm or music festival recently.

We launched in 2021 on the back of a fundraise that delivered $500m of investment, making us one the largest fintech start-ups that year. Our investors were excited about the fact we were revolutionising the way a 333-year-old industry was working. Having written over $400m of GWP in 2021, we have continued to rapidly scale, with 200% YoY growth to end of June 2022 and $834 in 2022. Together with partners at Google and UCL we developed Ki and created a platform that helps insurance brokers cover risks in a fast and frictionless way. We’re continuing to lead the charge on the digitisation of this market and that’s where you come in - we need more excellent minds to work with us to realise this goal and create more opportunities. If helping us transform a multi-billion global industry sounds exciting to you, read on.

We're looking for an experienced Product Manager to be responsible for developing our product offering in algorithmic and portfolio governance. This is a business critical space that will need you to be self-driven and capable of building strong relationships with senior stakeholders - internally to Ki initially, and in the longer term, with our partners. A key ambition for this domain is the automation of governance and human driven portfolio monitoring in a way that no other Lloyd's syndicate does currently. We see strong digital underwriting governance and insights as a critical means to improve profitability meaning this role will touch on many facets of the business.

Your focus will be on:

- Employing your strong product skillset to identify the best problems to solve, ideate on effective solutions, and chart a path to delivery in tandem with user research, engineering, and other stakeholders
- With a bias for data-informed reasoning, prioritising the right work at the right time and ensuring that all processes are collaborative and clear to others
-Encouraging effective delivery by validating key assumptions through iterative research and development and supporting the squad to make appropriate trade-offs on scope, impact and timing
- Leveraging deep commercial understanding, both in terms of how Ki operates and the market opportunity we’re seeking to capitalise on, to communicate the value of the work we do
- Driving stakeholder discussions across the business on what capabilities will most meaningfully move the business towards both near term and longer-term strategic goals
- Engaging openly with the broader Product organisation to identify opportunities for cross-benefit and mitigate against dependencies where possible
- Proactively communicating progress on key initiatives and upcoming plans
- Experience in a Lloyd's or general insurer, preferably in an actuarial, underwriting, exposure or portfolio management function (optional)

Our culture:

Inclusion & Diversity is at the heart of our business at Ki. We recognise that diversity in age, race, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, physical ability, thought and social background bring richness to our working environment. No matter who you are, where you’re from, how you think, or who you love, we believe you should be you.

You’ll get a highly competitive remuneration and benefits package. This is kept under constant review to make sure it stays relevant. We understand the power of saying thank you and take time to acknowledge and reward extraordinary effort by teams or individuals.

Ki Values:

Know Your Customer: Put yourself in their shoes. Understand and balance the different needs of our customers, acting with integrity and empathy to create something excellent
