Job Title: Procurement Manager (Renewable Energy)

Location: Any Shared Services site can be considered (Preston, Portsmouth, Glascoed, Glasgow, Filton OR Frimley). We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: £55,000 + Dependent upon experience (Executive Benefits offered)

What you’ll be doing:

  • Taking a lead role in the renewable energy opportunities and projects to support our Net Zero ambitions such as (but not limited to) on site generation, shared wire networks, CPPAs, VPPAs & energy saving opportunities from sourcing, contract negotiation/drafting, project planning, obligation management through to contract completion
  • Ensure compliance with necessary regulations, environmental impact assessments, government regulations, wider company compliance, and strategy obligations
  • Providing challenge into the conventional way of thinking and contracting, in order to develop innovative, business winning solutions
  • Managing and influencing internal stakeholders across the business to maintain and deliver and manage appropriate risk
  • Negotiating on existing and new contracts to ensure best cost / service solution to the business whilst striving for World Class solutions
  • Managing suppliers to ensure there is a professional and effective business relationship with necessary KPI’s in place

Your skills and experiences:

  • In depth experience within the Energy and Utilities sector with strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Deep sector experience in managing renewable strategies and projects within complex multisite organisation
  • Demonstrable experience working on Power Purchasing Agreements and/or other forms of renewables purchasing
  • Organisational and effective project management skills

The Indirect Procurement team:

You will be working across the UK portfolio, leading the organisation and Utilities team in managing renewable energy opportunities and delivering a key part of our transition to Net Zero. You will also work closely with a variety of Key Stakeholders and Project Leads across Finance, Legal, and Business Operations together with our appointed Energy Partners.
