About the role

This role underpins consistent high-quality internal communication across BMT, supporting the Global Internal Communications Manager (GICM) in managing and executing a unified approach to communications across the group. It involves:

  • Supporting the execution of a group-wide internal communications plan.
  • Monitoring and evaluating communication activities' effectiveness.
  • Assisting Global Business Services (GBS) with communication campaigns.
  • Leading the management of the global Share & Connect calendar.
  • Producing effective communications aligned with BMT's style, brand guidelines, culture, purpose, and values.
  • Undertaking content development, including copy-writing, video creation, podcasting, and presentations.
  • Providing operational support to the GICM.
  • Updating and maintaining intranet content.
  • Managing bespoke internal communication projects.
  • Ensuring adherence to BMT communication policies and processes.


In terms of location, our offices are in Bath, Bristol, London, Fareham, Weymouth & Plymouth, offering flexible and hybrid working arrangements for this full-time position.

About you

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A positive disposition and an engaged, proactive approach.
  • Three years’ experience in communications (internal or external).
  • A related University degree.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to develop targeted content.
  • Confident interpersonal skills across all levels of the organisation.
  • Methodical planning and sound project management skills.
  • Digital proficiency in Teams, SharePoint, ClipChamp, ShotCut etc.
  • Ability to work well within a team or autonomously, and comfortable with remote collaboration using Teams.
