Why this job matters?

The role holder will provide support to the Business Continuity and Crisis Management team across Business by implementing the Business Continuity strategy through improvement and digitisation. The role holder will own and define improvement projects and will help shape Business Continuity and Crisis Management across Business, protecting the ability to service products and services to our customers in the event of a Crisis. The role will also assure that standards are being met through exercising and measurement against a risk framework and key controls.

What You’ll be doing – your accountabilities

  • Ensures that a Region / operational function is prepared to react and mitigate the impacts of a crisis that could have a detrimental impact to BT’s customer, colleagues’ , assets and stakeholders.
  • Prepares the Business to avoid financial and reputational damage by identifying areas of risk, producing mitigation plans and then testing / exercising the mitigation strategies to fine tune and raise awareness.
  • Ensures that Business Continuity and Crisis Management methods and process are understood and practiced within the Countries / Functional Teams
  • Works across other BT CFU’s to manage the dependencies and impacts on risks to BT’s ability to operate and serve Customers
  • Ensuring Business has the capability to support and deliver customer Business Continuity and Disaster Recover requirements to the appropriate international standards as applicable.
  • Identifies and drives improvements to process and methods and champions digitisation.

Experience you would be expected to have

  • Mandatory: Experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Mandatory: Strong IT skills & Knowledge of Sharepoint and supporting tools
  • Preferred: Certification or experience of ISO22301
  • Preferred: In depth knowledge of sharepoint and supporting qualifications
