What will your ‘typical’ day look like? Different that’s for sure…:

Our Tech Delivery teams are organised according to Team Topologies principles, recognising the diverse needs of our technology landscape. We’ve aligned many of our teams to business value streams and these value streams are further divided into sub-streams. As an Atom Delivery Lead, you’ll lead the Technology activity for a specific area, which may be a value sub-stream.

However, we also recognise the importance of specialised teams. You might lead an Enabling Team, focused on providing expert guidance and support to stream-aligned teams in areas like security or testing. Alternatively, you could lead a Complicated Subsystem Team, responsible for the development and maintenance of critical, complex components that underpin our platform and products.

We’re on a mission to secure an A-IRB waiver, a prestigious designation that recognises our commitment to robust model and data governance, this role will initially sit within and lead activity for our AIRB sub-stream.

You will also:

  • Build strong relationships & effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders including commercial teams & product managers.
  • Champion good practice within teams to support their ongoing improvement.
  • Work with architecture team members to create a technology strategy.
  • Help the team measure and understand their performance using relevant metrics (DORA and other metrics such as throughput, cycle time, happiness), using them as a basis for improvement.
  • Utilise feedback for continuous learning and improvement in efficient and incremental value delivery to accelerate speed to market.
  • Identify and implement improvements in People/Team Topologies, Process, Technology and Culture.
  • Manage of the Run/Opex and Change/Capex budgets for their sub-stream, working with Finance on forecasts and actuals

What do we need from you?

  • Be delivery focussed – You deliver to commitments whilst ensuring quality.
  • Excellent relationship building skills.
  • Financial services experience, ideally with knowledge of banking regulations e.g. Basel III, CRR or familiarity with IRB models (PD, EAD, LGD).
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills.
  • Experience in leading delivery teams, and helping them become mature, high-performing, and autonomous.
