Social Impact Manager

As Social Impact Manager you’ll support WeTransfer’s Social Responsibility programme and B Corp Status. This role will implement WeTransfer’s global social impact strategy, foster employee engagement, and measure the effectiveness of your initiatives. Initiatives include but are not limited to our volunteering, mentorship, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts.

Responsibilities

Implement a social impact strategy:

  • Implement WeTransfer’s social impact initiatives, aligning them with our B Corp and social responsibility goals.

Lead the execution of impactful programs like:

  • Employee engagement initiatives like volunteering opportunities or skill-based mentorship programs for our employees and local communities.

  • Serve as the Employee Resource Group (ERG) ambassador, ensuring alignment and integration of ERG strategic plans and programming and that all efforts are aligned with WeTransfer’s overall DEI strategy.

  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.

Measure and communicate impact:

  • Establish metrics and frameworks to measure the effectiveness of social impact initiatives.

  • Track progress, analyze data, and report on outcomes to internal and external stakeholders, including creating compelling impact reports.

  • Manage communication strategies to raise awareness about the social impact efforts within WeTransfer

  • Stay informed on the latest trends and best practices in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and social impact within the tech industry.

Promote employee engagement:

  • Foster a culture of social responsibility within WeTransfer by raising awareness and encouraging employee participation in social impact initiatives.

  • Collaborate, consult, and partner with cross-functional teams and leads, like ERG leaders, Learning and Development, HR Business Partners, and Talent Acquisition. Aligning initiatives with their strategies to attract, retain, and engage talent.

  • Develop internal communication materials and programs to engage employees in understanding and contributing to WeTransfer’s social impact goals.

  • Enabling and ensuring great collaboration between ERGs across the organization and amplifying their effectiveness to lead to better outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in social impact or corporate social responsibility (CSR), preferably within the technology sector.

  • Deep expertise in corporate giving, volunteer and mentorship programs, and empowering volunteers and employees. Preferably with experience implementing and coordinating ERGs.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including WeTransfer employees, impact partners, and suppliers.

  • Ability to work on their own, while working across different functions and build relationships with interested parties and champions.

  • Driving transparent and effective communication with stakeholders regarding program progress, flags, and decisions.

  • Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt and handle complex projects.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while multi-tasking, re-prioritizing projects, and communicating priority updates to interested parties.

  • Be an empathetic listener to concerns raised within employees and communities, protect safe spaces, and provide key insights to the business.

  • Ability to demonstrate awareness and understanding of multiple facets of diversity: cultural, ethnic, racial, religious, gender, educational, age, sexual orientation, sexual identity, and other differences that make us unique.
