Job Description

Role Purpose / Business Unit

We are looking for bold and dedicated professionals to join our Employee Relations division. Are you ready to help shape a workplace where transparency, fairness, and collaboration drive performance?

The purpose of this role is to support the Senior Manager Employee Relations in managing labor relations, union engagement, legal compliance, and staff communication. You will help maintain a constructive social climate, ensure transparent dialogue between employer and employees, uphold legal and regulatory requirements, and contribute to the company’s productivity, profitability, and long-term sustainability.

Your Responsibilities Will Include :

• Prepare monthly and annual Employee Relations reports and provide accurate data upon request.
• Support the organization of committees, commissions, and meetings with trade union representatives.
• Draft minutes of monthly HR and Trade Union Delegation meetings.
• Assist in the follow-up and management of disciplinary cases, ensuring compliance with applicable labor laws and regulations.
• Conduct legal monitoring by gathering and reviewing new labor laws, social security directives, and regulatory updates relevant to HR.
• Develop analytical reports and draft memorandums related to personnel administration, workforce management, HR communication, and the dissemination of essential labor legislation concepts.
• Contribute to improving working conditions and supporting initiatives that enhance employee motivation and engagement.
• Participate in drafting, reviewing, and updating HR policies, procedures, and company-wide guidelines.
• Support activities organized by the Employee Relations division, including union elections, collective bargaining, and other social processes.
• Assist the Senior Manager Employee Relations in interactions with the FEC, the Labor Inspectorate, the Ministry of Labor, the DGM, and other relevant authorities.
• Support internal discipline management by organizing and conducting disciplinary hearings.
• Manage the process of obtaining residence and work permits for expatriate employees.
• Provide protocol and airport assistance to all members of the Executive Committee, their dependents, and VIP guests of Vodacom Congo DRC.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Senior Manager Employee Relations.

The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

Technical / Professional Qualifications:

• University degree in Law, Human Resources, Social Sciences, or related fields
• 2–3 years’ experience in HR, Employee Relations, labor law, or social dialogue
• Knowledge of Congolese labor law is a strong advantage

Core Competencies and Knowledge

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Good command of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Solid understanding of labor relations and social climate management
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality
• Strong organizational and planning skills
• Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset
