Job Description

Our Mission

We're not your average benefits platform; we're the unordinary force that uplifts people's lives. Our technology is the link that connects the entire benefits ecosystem, creating better outcomes for employers, employees, brokers, and providers.

Our mission is clear: we're here to create a world where everything operates at its very best, ensuring that every employee receives the support they need to live life to the fullest, both at work and beyond.

Your Mission

We’re looking for a proactive and autonomous Senior Product Designer who can have a big impact on our products. As part of a small but growing team, you’ll have the opportunity to directly influence product decisions and ship impactful features.

Working closely with our Lead Product Designer, 2 Product Designers and 5 Product Managers in our domain team structure, you’ll be at the core of a team that works at pace to identify and solve complex product problems and work with our engineering team to deliver features efficiently.

You'll be critical in thinking through what the best product experience should look like both for our end users (employees) who engage with our products every day, as well as HR admins as they create and manage their benefits and allowance programmes.

Our ambition is to build a consumer-grade product and brand in an antiquated B2B space. The user experience is the beating heart of this vision. From a designer’s perspective, the product is a unique mix of Fintech, eCommerce and SaaS challenges.

Things you will be working on…

  • Working within the product trio (Product Manager, Engineering Lead, Product Designer) to solve problems and deliver highly usable, intuitive and beautiful interfaces.

  • Designing pragmatic product solutions at pace using tools such as user flows, wireframes and prototypes. Turning these into highly crafted UX and UI, then delivering consistent and comprehensive production ready designs and documentation to the engineering teams.

  • Plan, design and execute user tests to assess, validate and improve the user experience of the product.

  • Making measurable improvements to the OKRs of the teams you work with.

  • Use and contribute to our growing web and mobile design systems in both Figma and Storybook, to help with creating a scalable design foundation.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders in other areas of the business, such as sales and customer success, to understand their needs and solve their problems.

  • Mentoring less experienced team members, sharing your knowledge and experience to grow and diversify their skills.

  • Giving and receiving constructive feedback from your peers and others across the organisation to grow as a design practitioner.

  • Proactively research improvements in the broader design and tech scene, and bring fresh ideas to the table. You’re passionate about good product design.

You will love this role if you have…

  • 5+ years of experience designing digital products, with a strong portfolio showcasing UX/UI expertise.

  • Have a portfolio of projects that demonstrates strong UX and UI skills, contextualised with solid thinking and rationale. (Don’t worry if projects aren’t finished, live or end-to-end. We can discuss them together.)

  • Can demonstrate understanding and application of design fundamentals (layout, typography, colour, interaction etc).

  • Have experience creating pragmatic prototypes and running user tests - You love working with users to understand their needs and identify opportunities for improvement and new ideas.

  • Can collaborate closely with other designers, product managers and engineers as part of the agile development process.

  • Leaning on both qualitative and quantitative insights to guide your decisions and designs.

  • Have a continuous improvement mindset. You appreciate that there are always ways to do things better and will speak up to ensure improvement in work, processes etc.

  • Are fluent in Figma and keep up to date with the most recent features such as variables.
