You will partner directly with F&F and Home alongside Finance to design and deliver their change portfolio across both the Long Term Plan and Annual Plan. You will connect initiatives to strategic intent, balance resources across change and BAU, and ensure the portfolio is set up for value, impact and strong delivery through effective governance, risk management, prioritisation and stakeholder engagement.

  • Making sure the portfolio delivers against business strategy by clearly connecting initiatives to strategic intent, and balancing effort and resources across change and business-asusual.
  • Focusing on value by ensuring the portfolio plan delivers measurable benefits.
  • Providing assurance on the effectiveness of benefit and capital management at project and initiative level.
  • Influencing, communicating and engaging effectively with a wide range of senior stakeholders, leveraging strong political awareness and judgement.
  • Proactively identifying and mitigating risks and driving the necessary actions to address them.
  • Setting up and running the appropriate governance needed to approve and manage delivery of the portfolio plan.
  • Preparing regular status reports, dashboards and presentations to monitor and communicate delivery progress.
  • Ensuring business cases across the portfolio are developed consistently, robustly and in line with agreed standards.
  • Coordinating portfolio prioritisation activities to support decisionmaking.
  • Ensuring dependencies are properly managed and escalating risks where appropriate.
  • Leading the development and delivery of the portfolio stakeholder engagement and communication plan.
  • Identifying constraints within the portfolio and working with others to resolve or remove them.
  • Operating within bestpractice portfolio management frameworks, adapting your approach as required.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve portfolio management practices and engaging with the Centre of Excellence to implement enhancements.
  • Remaining agile and adaptable to evolving business needs.
  • Demonstrating expertise in your field and actively sharing knowledge, insight and enthusiasm with others.
  • Strong portfolio management experience, covering both planning and delivery.
  • Project, programme and change management expertise.
  • Strong financial acumen and confidence working with numbers.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively and work alongside senior stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • The capability to provide leadership and direction for a functions change portfolio.
  • Experience designing Long Term and Annual Plans that secure approval for delivery.
  • A proven track record in ensuring successful delivery of Annual Plan initiatives and realising associated benefits within an approved budget.
