About us
Veramed is a Clinical Research Organisation. This means we support our biotech and pharmaceutical clients with their clinical studies across the drug development lifecycle. Veramed was established in 2012 by founders Matthew and Emma Jones. They saw a way that CROs could be different - an innovative force for good. Their relentless focus on quality, culture, and making a difference runs through everything Veramed does.
Matt and Emma continue to lead the business, and although Veramed is seeing incredible growth because of how we do things differently, the company remains a close, collaborative community. Our global team has supported hundreds of products and services, and we believe our culture and our people are our greatest asset.
Approach to diversity & inclusion
Veramed is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our staff, and eliminating unlawful discrimination. Our aim is for our staff to feel respected and able to give their best. Veramed is also committed against unlawful discrimination of its clients and customers.
It is central to our culture that we provide equality, fairness, and respect for all in our employment, whether temporary, part-time, or full-time. Veramed is also recognised as a Disability Confident Level I employer.
The Equality Act 2010 and not unlawfully discriminating because of the protected characteristics of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race (including colour, nationality, and ethnic or national origin), religion or belief, sex (gender) and sexual orientation is THE main pillar of how we conduct business.
We oppose and avoid all forms of unlawful discrimination. This includes in pay and benefits, terms and conditions of employment, dealing with grievances and discipline, dismissal, redundancy, leave for parents, requests for flexible working, and selection for employment, promotion, training or other developmental opportunities.
Veramed overtly commits to:
- Encourage equality and diversity in the workplace through our Worker B Hive (the culture club) as they are good practice and make business sense and are the right thing to do!
- Create a working environment free of bullying, harassment, victimisation, and unlawful discrimination, promoting dignity and respect for all, and where individual differences and the contributions of all staff are recognised and valued
- Take seriously complaints of bullying, harassment, victimisation and unlawful discrimination by fellow employees, customers, visitors, the public and any others in the course of their work
- Make opportunities for training, development, and progress available to all staff, who will be helped and encouraged to develop their full potential, so their talents and resources can be fully utilised to maximise the efficiency of the organisation
- Review employment practices and procedures when necessary to ensure fairness and update them and the policy to take account of changes in the law.
Flexible working at Veramed
Work life balance and flexibility are at the core of Veramed's culture. We operate core hours of 10 am - 4 pm globally, and all staff can build their out of work commitments around our core hours. We have numerous flexible workers adopting several working patterns to best suit their personal needs and once you have gained enough experience at entry level, you can work on a hybrid pattern. Our culture encourages in-person collaboration and working where possible, to make sure people are building a well rounded skill set to prepare them for more senior roles. Ultimately we trust our staff to be the architects of their own work weeks and their own development and are always trying to do more and add more tools to enable our staff to have fulfilling and interesting careers.

We had a great time celebrating at our summer parties last Friday!
Whether we're building terrariums 🪴, showing off our moves on the dance floor💃, or cruising down the Thames and taking in the sights of London 🛥️, at Veramed our summer parties are a wonderful chance for remote and office workers alike to come together and celebrate our accomplishments as a team - truly a highlight of our social calendar!

Veramed's employees have anonymously had their say in what they think of the company
What a great company to work for! Lots of opportunities to work on what you like, to progress, to get appropriate training, and work in an inclusive environment where culture plays such a significant role
Overall the company is amazing and they are very supportive
I find Veramed creates a kind and thoughtful working environment, that opens itself to all different kinds of people and supports all diversities in any way they can
Company gives good opportunity for new joiners, culture is good & supportive, flexible location and working hours.
I don't know of another company where the CEO still meets with every new starter within their first week to have an introductory meeting. There is a real sense of belonging and that you matter when you work here (not just a number).
