Senior Account Manager
Job Description
Responsibilities & Duties:
As a Senior Account Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing and growing key customer relationships while driving significant revenue growth. You will be part of a collaborative, high-energy sales team, reporting to the Existing Business Sales Manager and working closely with colleagues across Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience and Training & Integration.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Sales & Revenue Growth: Closing sales opportunities within your account base in line with ambitious quarterly revenue targets
- Activity & Pipeline Management: Hitting monthly activity KPIs focused on meeting booking and pipeline generation
- Forecasting & CRM Management: Maintaining accurate records and forecasting in Salesforce, ensuring visibility on monthly and quarterly revenue projections
- Key Account Management: Focusing on the close account management of identified ‘Key’ and ‘Development’ accounts capable of significant revenue growth, including delivering Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) (ideally in person)
- Contract & Recurring Revenue Growth: Identifying opportunities to convert ad-hoc purchases into contracted recurring revenue by promoting our contract model
- Strategic Growth Planning: Developing structured growth plans for each ‘Key’ account, including:
- Mapping decision-makers and key contacts
- Understanding organisational structure (e.g., regions/countries, business units, departments with budget control)
- Working with the Marketing team on targeted, bespoke account-based marketing campaigns to drive increased Strengthscope® usage.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partnering with the Training & Integration team to drive successful project outcomes through design, delivery, and evaluation
- CRM & Process Management: Maintaining accurate records in Salesforce, tracking all interactions, and proactively following up on client needs to ensure smooth operations
- Client Advocacy & Feedback Loop: Collaborating with Marketing to create a water-tight feedback loop, ensuring client insights drive continuous engagement and growth strategies
- Internal Influence & Strategy: Advocating internally for what is needed to grow ‘Key’ accounts and providing active feedback to key stakeholders.
Skills & Attributes:
If you have a mix of the following skills and attributes, you might be just who we’re looking for:
- At least 4+ years’ experience in Sales or Account Management, with a track record of achieving individual revenue targets
- Proven experience managing high-spend key accounts and driving significant revenue growth
- Experience selling annual recurring revenue contracts is highly desirable
- Strong commercial acumen, with experience securing contracts over £50k in value
- Excellent relationship building skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Highly organised and accountable, with the ability to manage complex accounts, projects, and multiple deadlines
- Resilience and adaptability with the ability to handle challenges, learn from feedback, and demonstrate a growth mindset
- Tech-savvy and process-driven, comfortable using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and sales tools to track performance client engagement.
