JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Senior QA Engineering Manager to lead and mentor our talented team of QA engineers. As an integral member of our engineering department, you will drive the development of our industry-leading products by guiding technical decisions and ensuring high-quality code delivery. But it's not just about code – you will also play a pivotal role in talent development, building a diverse and dynamic team that thrives on collaboration and innovation. You will set the tone for excellence, establish best-in-class practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborating closely with Product and Design, you will help shape our product roadmap and oversee cross-team alignment. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Lead a team of QA engineers to spearhead new product development
  • Establish team practices and culture to cultivate high-performing teams
  • Actively engage in technical decisions, stepping in as a tech lead when necessary
  • Drive continuous improvement in the QA team’s code, architecture and processes, ensuring high-quality deliverables
  • Establish accurate task timelines and ensure timely completion, while helping the team overcome obstacles and resolve blockers
  • Partner closely with Product Management and Design to define and deliver on our strategic roadmap, advocating for iterative, customer-driven product development
  • Maintain alignment with other team managers and facilitate effective communication throughout the organization
  • Foster a culture of documentation and knowledge sharing among team members and with business stakeholders
  • Attract top engineering talent through proactive recruitment, hiring, and onboarding efforts
  • Mentor and guide team members in their professional and technical development, while promoting a culture of active coaching within the team
  • Encourage a mindset of learning and experimentation, empowering team members to expand their skills and expertise
  • Cultivate empathy and openness towards team members from diverse backgrounds, and promote a positive workplace culture
  • Facilitate regular one-on-one meetings to set goals, evaluate performance and provide continuous feedback

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in advanced software development, and 4+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Comprehensive knowledge of test concepts at all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Comprehensive knowledge with testing and documentation.
  • Comprehensive analytical skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge with test automation processes on APIs, SDKs and tools such as Cypress, Postman, etc.
  • Comprehensive knowledge in test specification, preparation, execution and reporting.
  • Thorough knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language (Javascript, Ruby, etc).
  • Thorough knowledge of at least one database management system (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc).
  • Thorough knowledge in defect analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in working or testing web services and micro services (REST services).
  • Experience working with a software management system (JIRA is preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks
  • Ability to lead and manage a team and drive results
  • Excellent communication skills that facilitate interaction with multiple stakeholders
  • You are confident, detail-oriented, and highly motivated to contribute to the organization's growth as part of a high-performing team
