About SpareMyTime:

SpareMyTime is a fast-growing business that supports ambitious individuals and companies with flexible, high-quality virtual support. From solopreneurs to enterprise HR teams, we enable our clients to reclaim their time and scale with confidence.We are now looking for a dynamic, proactive, and highly organised team member to support the Founder, Head of Marketing, and wider leadership team across sales, business development, marketing, social media engagement, client delivery, and internal operations. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the growth strategy and be part of a purpose-driven, fast-moving company.This is a full-time role combining internal growth activity with client-facing support to ensure a well-rounded, impactful position.

Salary & Contract:

Salary: 
£28k-31k per annum Contract: Full-time (UK-based), with the option to work a four- or five-day schedule. Start and end times are flexible.   Potential to work remotely from abroad on a temporary basis, subject to applicable tax and legal considerations. Reporting Structure:

You will report directly to the Founder (Melissa) and the Head of Marketing (Vic), while also working closely with Leigh-Anne (COO) to ensure alignment between new business activity and operational delivery.

Role Summary:

This is a hybrid role blending sales, business development, marketing, social media engagement, and client-facing delivery. You’ll be the Founder’s right hand in sales and outreach, liaising with Vic (Head of Marketing) to ensure momentum across lead generation, internal coordination, and content execution.From building authentic relationships with startup founders on Instagram to developing lead pipelines with VCs, supporting client engagement, and helping coordinate the internal team, you’ll play a critical role in driving growth and visibility at every level of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development

Startups

  • Promote and evolve the “Learning Library” for founders as a key entry point.
  • Build meaningful engagement on Instagram with:Founders and solopreneursLife coaches, business coaches, productivity mentorsCreators and freelancersCommunities like @foundflourish, @femalefoundercollective, @gs10ksb, etc.
  • Use a relationship-first approach: genuine interactions, DMs, story replies, voice notes.
  • Track and analyse lead sources to shape growth strategy.

Scale-ups

  • Identify relevant VC firms and assist in introducing SMT to their portfolio companies.
  • Expand beyond the founder’s personal network to build a reliable new lead pipeline.
  • Use awards, founder programmes (e.g. GS10KSB), LinkedIn, and fractional HR directors/business coaches as connectors.
  • Prioritise targeting of well-funded, operationally stretched scale-ups.

Enterprise

  • Develop strategies to approach Heads of HR and Talent Managers.
  • Research industry events and networks to identify entry points and corporate pain points.
  • Work closely with the COO to ensure alignment between enterprise activity and capacity planning.
  • Play a key role in opening this new, high-potential vertical.

Marketing & Brand Visibility

  • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing on content and visibility campaigns: 
    - Instagram: founder-focused content and audience growth
    - LinkedIn: thought leadership and HR-facing content
  • Support email marketing and nurture campaigns.
  • Support creation and editorial of new podcast
  • Draft award submissions and community pitches.
  • Help monitor content performance and identify opportunities to improve reach and relevance.

Client Social Media Engagement

  • Deliver social engagement and support across a small number of client accounts.
  • Act as a trusted online extension of their brand — engaging through comments, DMs, and community building.
  • Maintain brand consistency and quality across posts, captions, and interactions.
  • Coordinate with the internal team to stay aligned on tone, objectives, and timelines.

Founder & SLT Liaison and Team Support 

  • Act as a strategic right-hand to the Founder — liaising with Vic and Leigh-Anne to remove bottle necks created by Melissa
  • Follow up on leads, conversations, and tasks to maintain momentum.
  • Liaise regularly with Leigh-Anne (COO) to share updates on lead volume and help manage onboarding flow.
  • Liaise regularly with Vic (Head of Marketing) to share insights and maintain momentum when Vic and Melissa become too busy.
  • Handle light admin including scheduling, tracking next steps, preparing decks/notes.  Liaising with Leigh-Anne and Vic's right hand women (Helen and Ellie) when needed, in order to ensure we are all working in coordination

Partnerships & Networking

  • Help identify and build relationships with relevant partnerships - podcasts, press or direct referrals such as business coaches, life coaches, financial advisors, fractional HR directors, founder communities, and other strategic referral partners.
  • Assist in follow-ups, tracking touch points, and keeping conversations warm.
  • Represent SpareMyTime in online groups and founder ecosystems when needed.

Content & Learning Initiatives

  • Contribute to the development of founder resources and online courses.
  • Help write, polish, and format materials such as pitch decks, sales one-pagers, and internal templates.

Insight & Strategy

  • Help build, analyse and update Sales CRM pipleine and social insights to assess growth opportunities.
  • Track new business pipeline progress and campaign effectiveness.
  • Support strategy planning with insights on competitors, trends, and lead behaviour.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong experience in a marketing, sales, or client engagement role (startup or agency preferred)
  • Strong experience with Instagram and LinkedIn for relationship-driven growth
  • Excellent writer and communicator – natural tone, clear and persuasive
  • Highly organised – able to manage multiple threads without dropping the ball
  • CRM, social scheduling, and admin-savvy
  • Bonus: familiar with award writing, online communities, or supporting founders

Interview 1:If you move forward, you'll be invited to Interview 1 with Melissa (Founder) and another member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). This will be a structured conversation where we’ll explore your skills and experience in more detail, and discuss how they align with the role and our mission.
Interview 2: For those who progress to the final stage, Interview 2 will involve a presentation. During this stage, we’ll ask you to showcase examples of your sales-related work. This could include a case study from a past sales campaign, an example of lead generation strategies you’ve implemented, or insights into how you engage and build relationships with clients. We’re keen to hear about your approach and how you bring your strategies to life.
