About the scheme
Join our Data, Digital & Insight Graduate Scheme and start your career in a business that’s investing in digital capability, customer insight and data-led decision making. You’ll learn how data, customer journeys and digital experiences help shape decisions and support better outcomes across the business.
You’ll complete rotations across different Data and Digital teams, including digital product, digital insight, customer analytics, data engineering, data management and data quality. Whether you’re exploring customer behaviour, improving digital journeys or supporting future digital solutions, you’ll help us deliver great experiences for our customers and colleagues.
You’ll be based in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, with hybrid working depending on business needs. Regular office time will help you collaborate with your team and learn from experienced colleagues.
Please note this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship as it does not fulfil the criteria set by the Home Office. This is a three-year programme. Candidates must have, or be able to obtain, permission to work in the UK in a way that enables them to undertake the role and complete the programme.
If you need any adjustments during the recruitment process, please let us know. We’ll work with you to understand what support would help you perform at your best.
Please apply as soon as you can. If we receive enough applications, we may close this vacancy early.
What you can expect
Over the three-year scheme, you’ll complete rotations across our Data and Digital teams. You’ll build knowledge across different areas of the business. You’ll also gain hands-on experience in analysing data, understanding customer needs, reviewing digital experiences and supporting digital projects. The scheme includes:
- Working across Data and Digital teams, helping turn customer insight and digital ideas into practical business improvements.
- Exploring areas such as customer analytics, digital product, data management, data quality and digital insight.
- Supporting digital product activity, working with colleagues across the business and technology teams.
- Reviewing customer journeys and digital experiences to identify ways to improve online interactions.
- Building your confidence with data, using tools such as Power BI, SQL, Google Analytics and Microsoft Azure.
- Communicating insights and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Developing your career through varied rotations, professional development, mentoring and graduate support.
Alongside your placements, you'll have access to professional development opportunities and training in areas such as Google Analytics, Power BI, SQL and Microsoft Azure, helping you build the skills needed for a successful career in Data and Digital.
We’ll support your career development throughout the scheme with a structured plan, performance reviews twice a year, and the potential for competitive salary increases and progression.
Application Process
If your application is shortlisted, there are three stages:
- Online assessment – to help us understand how you learn and solve problems.
- Video interview – a short interview to learn more about you.
- Assessment centre – an in-person day where you’ll take part in activities such as a group exercise, a role-specific task and a skills-based interview.
The assessment centre will be held on 27th November at our Head Office in Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire.
Your future
This scheme is designed to help you strengthen your analytical, digital and professional skills while building a broad understanding of key Data and Digital disciplines. By the end of the programme, you’ll be a well-rounded Data and Digital professional, with experience across multiple specialisms and a strong understanding of how data, customer insight and digital experiences support business success.
You’ll be supported by experienced colleagues, a dedicated buddy and a mentor who will help you maximise your development and career opportunities. You’ll also be part of a strong graduate community, with opportunities to connect with current and former graduates, build your network and learn from others on similar schemes.
As you come towards the end of the scheme, a careers coach will help you think about your next role and plan your next steps.
It’s not all about work either. We encourage our graduates to get involved in extracurricular activities, from volunteering and organising charity or social events to representing NFU Mutual at industry events, all in line with our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework.

We're particularly interested in graduates who are excited by the opportunities data and technology create, and who enjoy solving problems, understanding customer behaviour and turning insight into action.

- Teamwork and collaboration - enjoy working with others to solve problems and achieve shared goals.
- Initiative and willingness to learn - motivated to develop new technical and professional skills.
If you can bring these qualities, we'll help you develop the rest.
Work experience
Industry experience or a placement year would be a real advantage, but it isn’t essential. What matters most is that you’ve had some experience of work where you’ve been able to interact with people, build your communication skills and learn how to work well with others.
At NFU Mutual, we support an inclusive workplace and value all the differences that make us unique. We celebrate the creativity and innovation that comes from diverse perspectives and experiences and share a common vision of doing the right thing for our customers and employees.
