Employment type:  Full time

Job Description

We’re on a mission to provide equitable access to economic opportunity, for everyone.

We close critical skill gaps in the workforce through a new kind of apprenticeship that combines work and learning. We begin by recognizing high-potential individuals both inside and outside of a company's current workforce and then we create applied, guided and equitable learning programs, with measurable impact. Because we believe the world needs a better way to match its potential.

We work with over 1,500 leading companies including the likes of Microsoft, Citi and Just Eat to help solve their business-critical problems, and we’ve trained over 16,000 professional apprentices in the tech and data skills of the future. This is made possible by our global team who are driven to achieve a mission that matters, together.

Join Multiverse and help us set a new course for work.

The opportunity

We're hiring a Career Mobility Lead in our People Team to bring our mission of ‘providing equitable access to economic opportunity’ to life internally for our employees. In this role, you will use data and research to identify opportunities and implement programming that fosters career growth and a sense of belonging at Multiverse. By building a career mobility strategy with equity at its core, we’re creating a culture where people from all backgrounds have equitable opportunities for growth, advancement, and success. To be successful in this role, you must be a strategic thinker and an excellent executor.

Specifically, you will:

  • Own our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) reporting and data - you will regularly review and report on our data, and conduct internal and external research to spot trends and opportunities. Using facts and logic you will build on our existing programming and create new opportunities to create career mobility and build an inclusive culture.

  • Some examples of programming that you will be responsible for include;

    • Manage our Leadership Accelerator - a program for internal talent from backgrounds currently underrepresented in our leadership team

    • Oversee our Employee Resource Group (ERG) Program and provide support and counsel to our ERG Chairs and Sponsors to drive outcomes

    • Project manage and produce DEI events for all employees and drive employee engagement

    • Create a new mentoring program that drives career mobility and inclusivity

    • Build a Quarterly Inclusion Guild by identifying DEI champions across the business, facilitating regular meetings and driving action

    • Coordinate the monthly DEI roundtable with our CEO

    • Facilitate workshops and conversations about DEI topics that are meaningful to our employees

  • You will need to monitor the success of these programs to evaluate if they are driving the right outcomes, and you will be responsible for identifying new programming opportunities based on the data and research

  • Work closely with the people partnering and talent teams to ensure that DEI is embedded in every single employee and candidate touchpoint

  • Create content and communications about our DEI strategy to engage employees and candidates with our work

  • Find ways to build community across lines of difference, building momentum toward Multiverse's success

About you:

  • Need for speed: You’ve held DEI roles in fast-paced environments, ideally with a presence in both the US and UK.

  • Subject matter expertise: You have demonstrable experience in delivering against a DEI strategy, building and delivering programs, and driving outcomes

  • Passion: You believe in the power of people teams to build thriving companies and cultures. You stop at nothing to make sure that this is felt in every team in the business.

  • Right-hand person: you know how to build relationships with employees of all levels - you’re empathetic, compassionate, effective and commercially minded.

  • Thought leader: we’re looking for someone who sees DEI as a product and who innovates constantly to improve employee outcomes

  • The job is never done: You pride yourself on your attention to detail and never dropping the ball. You understand that you can only expect excellence across the business if you demonstrate it yourself.

  • You believe passionately in social mobility and equity

  • You align closely with our values and can share examples of how you have demonstrated them.

Benefits

  • Time off - 27 days holiday, plus 7 additional days off: 1 life event day, 2 volunteer days and 4 company-wide wellbeing days

  • Health & Wellness- private medical Insurance with Bupa, a medical cashback scheme, life insurance, gym membership & wellness resources through Gympass and access to Spill - all-in-one mental health support

  • Hybrid & remote work offering - with two weekly visits to the London office and the opportunity to work abroad 45 days a year

  • Team fun - weekly socials, company-wide events and office snacks!
