You will closely partner the UK Sales team, particularly the Customer Investment Planning team, to deliver revenue and profit plan targets through insightful analysis, objective counsel and outstanding decision support. Working as part of the wider Commercial Finance team to continuously improve capabilities and ways of working in one of Mondelez’s biggest regions

Key Responsibilities

Create Value

  • Build strong relationships with the Sales teams based on insight and challenge, ensuring finance are a key part of planning and decision making to drive value

  • Key responsibilities of the role include: supporting (via relevant analysis/modelling/reporting and influencing the agenda) cross-functional Sales partners to define a customer investment roadmap which executes the UK Commercial Strategy, and delivers a value realisation ahead of category, driving fuel for growth - adding a finance and profit lens to analysis and decisions; defining the best analysis / insight tools and identifying enhancements

  • The role will also work closely with the other customer Finance Managers & the analyst team based in Genpact to ensure consistent ways of working. Will play a key role in linking the longer-term customer investment roadmap with the execution in year through our customers which is supported by the Commercial Finance team

  • Champion specific projects and analysis work to support the delivery of short and longer term category value

  • Ensuring compliance with EOC model, key internal controls and audits

  • Coach and develop ourselves and our business partners

  • Build sales/ finance team capabilities and support relevant projects, systems and processes

  • Role model a development mindset through on the job learning, feedback and self development learning

What you will bring

A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career. You will bring experience and knowledge in:

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in financial planning and performance management including data collection and structuring, analyzing, planning and reporting company financial performance across all financial KPIs and investment decisions and cost management to achieve financial targets

BUSINESS ACUMEN and understanding of our business. Relevant experience in a regional/local business

LEADERSHIP SKILLS including experience with business partnering and communication skills across a large regional or local public company

GROWTH/DIGITAL MINDSET and the ability to identify/execute opportunities and leverage technology to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness

INTEGRITY and sound judgement in all decisions and interactions aligned with our values and policies and external regulations

Professional Skills & Competencies

  • Educated to degree level and fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA)

  • Experience working within a commercial or operational finance environment, preferably within FMCG

  • Effective influencing and communication skills with senior stakeholders, with an ability to simplify the complex & prioritise the agenda to get results

  • Strong strategic mindset with excellent analytical skills and a logical way of thinking - thinks ahead to anticipate new opportunities

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel

  • Ability to relate to and influence a diverse group of stakeholders - shows courage to disrupt and innovate

  • Proactively drives and embraces change, and feels comfortable with ambiguity.

Dimensions of role

Total UK Sales (all categories); focus on longer term (beyond AC) and bridging to the short term.

The responsibilities of this position are performed within the framework of a regional business model that is defined and managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland.
