We’re looking for a Senior Customer Marketing Manager who will be responsible for setting the strategic direction, operating model and executional excellence of Customer Marketing across UK channels. You will lead a team of three Customer Marketing Managers, ensuring best-in-class activation across Grocery, Convenience, Wholesale, E-commerce and High Street, while personally owning Tesco which is a key strategic growth priority for Grenade. Success in this role will include working with Marketing, Sales and Brand, ensuring that business growth is delivered in a way that meets shopper needs, strengthens customer partnerships, and enhances market competitiveness through a commercial mindset.

How you will contribute

  • Lead the development of the long term customer marketing strategy, working closely with brand and marketing to ensure alignment across key campaigns
  • Manage and be accountable for the A&C budget for customer, POS and trade press spend, ensuring delivery against agreed ROI and budget targets
  • Work in partnership with Head of Grocery, Senior Category Manager and Senior NAM to create a high impact, commercially robust execution strategy for Tesco
  • Lead the set up of an ROI strategy, working closely with commercial teams to agree and implement ROI mechanics and analysis for every activation
  • Lead annual brand plans, creating the customer marketing execution plans aligned with NPD launches and brand campaigns
  • Lead, coach and develop a high performing Customer Marketing team

What you will bring

  • Significant experience in customer/shopper marketing within FMCG, with strong knowledge of UK channels and customer activation
  • Experience with a top 4 grocer
  • Proven people leadership capability, including experience managing and coaching
  • Track record of delivering a strategy from concept to delivery with proven results and learnings
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience driving growth through priority or emerging channels
  • Work collaboratively and take a leadership role within the commercial team, forming close relationships with Commercial, Marketing and Brand
  • Strong relationship building and ability to influence at a senior level
  • Proactively identifies ways for continuous improvement
  • A structured, delivery-focused approach with the ability to manage complexity, prioritise effectively and deliver consistent executional excellence

Additional skills and experience:

  • Experience in FMCG customer marketing or commercial role
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Power BI skills
