Overview

International Business Analyst – Healthcare (Location: UK)

Team: HLS COO Intelligence

Focus Area: Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS), Clinical Applications

Are you passionate about solving complex business challenges through data and analytics? The Health and Life Sciences Chief Operating Office (HLS COO) is seeking a skilled and driven International Business Analyst to support strategic initiatives through scalable analytics solutions and actionable insights.

This role influences senior stakeholders, drives strategic thinking, and delivers executive-level presentations to shape decisions and accelerate revenue growth. You will align analytics strategies with business priorities, convert objectives into technical requirements, and build AI-enabled dashboards—all while ensuring compliance with Microsoft’s operating model, data governance, and EU privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
• Influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align analytics strategies with business priorities in the international market
• Develop and deliver executive-level presentations that communicate insights and strategic recommendations clearly and persuasively.
• Apply strategic thinking to shape analytics roadmaps that support long-term business objectives and competitive advantage.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into technical and analytical requirements.
• Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and other Microsoft analytics tools.
• Strong understanding of EU data protection laws, including GDPR and related compliance frameworks.
• Contribute to the development of AI-driven insights, including predictive modeling and propensity analysis.
• Investigate and deploy new AI methods, tools, and agents to accelerate time-to-outcome delivery.
• Support the development of reusable data pipelines and analytics assets for cross-team consumption.
• Conduct gap analyses to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and process improvement.
• Document and optimize business processes, workflows, and data flows to support scalable analytics.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance with Microsoft’s data handling standards.
• Drive analytics initiatives within the HLS domain, with a strong emphasis on clinical applications.

Qualifications

Qualifications
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business-related field (e.g., Statistics, Finance, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or financial/business analytics.

Preferred:
• Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics).
• Proficiency in Power BI, Excel, Power Query, and Power Apps.
• Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., SPSS, R) and multivariate modeling.
• Ability to write and optimize SQL queries for large datasets.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate ambiguous business questions into testable hypotheses and actionable insights.
• Basic project management skills, including milestone tracking, risk identification, and stakeholder alignment.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in business analytics.
• Knowledge of Microsoft platforms such as Azure, Dynamics, and Fabric.
• Experience working within data governance frameworks, including metadata management, data stewardship, and compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Familiarity with healthcare industry practices and standards.
• Demonstrated ability to embody Microsoft’s culture and values.
• Proven ability to influence at senior levels and communicate effectively with executive stakeholders.
• Experience in strategic planning and aligning analytics initiatives with revenue growth objectives.
