Job Description:

The Master Data IT Operations Manager is responsible for managing a team of direct reports and third-party resources that provide functional and technical expertise in the Master Data area and is in charge of providing support for Global Applications products to business users, including ITIL Service Delivery process, delivering Continuous Improvement and Service In-take for products deployed by the Project Teams. This role is part of the Global Digital Operations organisation, within the Business Delivery Services Team.


What are we looking for?

  • Strong Master Data / Data Management technical background

  • 5-7 years’ experience working on Applications IT Products and Services/Support

  • Capable and Flexible to develop IT Knowledge and Leadership

  • Functional & technical knowledge in ERP solutions

  • Demonstrate Line Management Experience and Capability in a remote & global environment.

  • Financial and Budget management experience

  • Good stakeholder management & communications skills

  • Experience in external vendor and Services/Support organization management

  • ITIL, PMI, Agile, DevOps, Scrum certifications will be a plus.

  • Strong functional knowledge in Supply, or Finance areas is a plus

  • Good communication, especially in English, and interpersonal skills

  • Manages Complexity: Analyses multiple and diverse sources of information to define problems accurately before moving to solutions

  • Curious and capable to research and rapidly learn new technical skills

  • Strong on play “what if” scenarios and bringing others to understand those scenarios

  • Ability to work effectively in a flexible and changing environment, manages multiple activities and priorities, and work well under pressure.

  • Bachelor or higher degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Product Management: overall accountability, including lifecycle management for services and products in scope of Master Data Operations Area (MDG (Master Data Governance – SAP S4. Backend/Fiori/NWBC), GRD (Global Reference Data – SAP ECC) and Winshuttle); Support, Influence and contribute with Leadership, Development and Deployment teams to define strategy for IT Solutions, in line with operational excellence strategies and Transformational programs and business capabilities strategies. Maintain awareness of industry directions for products and services , in order to define new, cost-effective solutions or evolve existing solutions in an optimal manner.

  • Service management with 3rd Party vendors based on role model operational excellence, with overall accountability on the metrics for service (SLAs. Availability, performance, etc); Accountable for assure Service Continuity strategy for services and products in place, including DR simulations and tests proper conducted based on Mars Inc standards Accountable for regular status updates to stakeholders on progress for all demands raised by Business.

  • Escalation point for any business demands, working with his team and Business stakeholders to address, engaging all resources needed for solve this demand

  • Stakeholder management: accountable for regular status updates to stakeholders on progress for all demands raised by Business. Sustain the user community and develop the key users, functional expert, Data Councils network where needed. Engage and collaborate with other teams when is needed. Collaborate with projects according to Mars DT signature processes,. High level for Customer satisfaction accountability.

  • Budget and 3rd Party Vendors Contracts Management for all product area and functions, according to Finance and Commercial (Procurement) rules.

  • Line Management of global & remote team, coach, and development as well responsible to ensure resources knowledge on Mars business processes and development/projects techniques and methodologies; Role model agile behaviors & methods with customers and peers; Contribute to HUB Talent Pipeline strategy; Ensure succession plan with the team.

  • Collaborate with business users, Transformational programs, Segment Digital Technologies team, Finance team, Enterprise Architect team, Operation Excellence team, Infrastructure team, IT Operation team, and other application functional teams to streamline the new process for Master Data and improve the governance.

  • Work with Enterprise Architecture/Transformational programs/Projects to identify and assess new technologies on design/development/deployment/Support

  • Work closely with the New Tech Product Manager to plan proper involvement and transition from this technology to the Application team
