The Site IE & Logistics Manager is an important member of the RCS Site Management Team and a thinking partner for the Site Plant Manager and other departmental managers. They are accountable for co-creating and then measuring the effectiveness of the Site Operations & Supply Chain Strategy for our site.

This role has primary accountability for providing insights into how best to improve the financial and operational performance of our factory, balanced with a segment understanding. The jobholder uses an in-depth understanding of supply principles, FI Pillar of MSE and knowledge of factory processes to carry out complex analysis on a range of available data. The output of this analysis is used to shape the factory plans, make investment choices and drive factory improvements for the future and will require the job holder to lead improvement initiatives.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Apply best practice thinking from both inside and outside the corporation to drive a winning business strategy.

  • Collaborate on the development of the site supply and supply chain strategy bringing together the operational, supply chain, financial and engineering requirements, translating these needs into specific projects and activities.

  • Working with the central planning and segment IE to define the site capacity and complexity roadmap. Identifying resourcing, bandwidth and activities required to manage site capacity in the medium and long term.

  • The supply representative in the Site Activity management process, accountable for strategic and tactical input into the process, and responsible for supply delivery of these activities.

  • Ownership for the development of the key metrics within the OTR process for RCS on financial, quality, service, efficiency, etc

  • Development & Justification of business case

  • Preparation and submission of projects including gaining approval from senior stakeholders

  • Line manager for the site logistics team. Responsible for production scheduling, raws and packs call off, factory shunting, transport to domestic and export warehouses including the arrangement of all permissions to transport our materials.
