We’re looking for a Finance Manager to join Mars NZ — someone who loves turning numbers into insight, partnering closely with Sales, and influencing big commercial decisions.

In this role, you’ll act as the S&F co-pilot to our Commercial teams, while also leading financial performance for one of our Segments (Petcare or Snacking) — which are exciting and fast-moving parts of the business.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll combine strategic thinking with hands-on commercial partnering, including:

  • Co-piloting the Sales function to deliver against sales, profitability, and strategic goals
  • Partnering with the Sales Director and Sales Leadership Team to shape, measure, and track strategy
  • Leading Sales & Finance input into S&OP+, especially Step 2 / Demand
  • Owning forward-looking planning, forecasts, and insights that support decision-making
  • Tracking and analysing segment performance — growth, profitability, brand, and category
  • Developing and governing Trade Investment spend to maximise returns
  • Delivering high-impact sales reporting, quarterly commentary, and performance insights
  • Partnering with the Financial Controller on annual plans and ongoing performance tracking
  • Supporting key balance sheet reconciliations and ad-hoc commercial projects

What We’re Looking For

You’ll thrive here if you bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
  • CA / CPA / CIMA (or similar) preferred
  • FMCG experience, ideally partnering with Sales and/or Marketing
  • Strong commercial finance skills — forecasting, trade investment, and performance analysis
  • Confidence using BI tools and advanced Excel to turn data into insight
  • A collaborative style and the ability to build trusted relationships through clear, compelling storytelling
