Job Description:

As Finance Business Partner (all genders) for Food & Nutrition Germany & Austria (G&A) you will partner the G&A General Manager (GM) to lead our G&A Market Unit.

In this role you will provide leadership and decision support to the Market Unit GM and their team in pursuit of delivering against our business and financial objectives. This will include a focus on Net Sales (NSV) delivery, driving value creation by ensuring a strong focus on Gross Margin (MAC) and the key levers of value creation – price, promotion and product mix.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Reporting to the European CFO for Food & Nutrition, you will:
• Act as Finance Business Partner for the key accounts – supporting the definition of customer strategy to achieve targets set within the Annual and Long Term business plans.
• Support in the preparation of annual client negotiations, price increases, and customer business plans with strong partnerships with Sales, Strategic Revenue Management (SRM), Demand planning and the GM.
• Partner with SRM to evaluate the financial impacts of pricing plans and changes in trade terms/conditions to ensure delivery against Gross Margin and Value Creation ambition.
• Provide critical support to the periodic Market forecasting processes (S&OP) through completion of updates during the periodic Sales Reviews (DMR) and actively representing the G&A Market during the periodic Regional Consolidated Financial Review (RIR).
• Through the DMR and RIR, provide Financial leadership in tracking business performance against agreed targets and defining required action to ensure objectives are met.
• In partnership with the SRM team, ensure that the trade budgets are managed accurately in the Trade Budget Systems, and that regular reviews are completed to determine the effectiveness of this and opportunities to improve Return on Investment (ROI).
• Provide support to Market GM and Regional CFO in tracking and reporting on business performance (Volume to Value) on a periodic, quarterly and annual basis in line with our Rhythm of Performance model.
• As required, initiate, lead, and manage projects within the G&A Market Unit which will improve current finance processes and deliver against value creation strategy.

In this role you will be closely collaborating with the European Food Central Finance team, Shared Service Finance team, cross-segment Finance partners within local markets, and the G&A Sales organization.

What we are looking for?

  • University Degree or Master's Degree with an Accounting or Finance background

  • Financial professional certification

  • Fluency in German and English

  • Management Reporting & Analysis – The ability to drive Value Creation for the business through timely and accurate reporting of periodic results and sharing top quartile insights and analysis derived from effectively leveraging tools, digital platforms and other technologies

  • Data Analytics – The ability to combine multiple relevant data sources, prepare data for analysis, identify trend and pattern insights which can then be projected into future scenarios, allowing actions to be taken to deliver against the business strategy

  • Data Visualisation – The ability to communicate financial and non-financial information through the use of a broad range of techniques, including statistical graphics, plots, information graphics and dashboards

  • Collaborating and Partnering – The ability to proactively foster relationships and cross-functional partnerships inside and outside the organization that creates an environment where effective challenging and meaningful cooperation flourish and lead to purpose led value creation

  • An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus. Base salary in Austria as per collective bargaining agreement for retail starts at 2.807 € per month. Mars is paying above tariff and your potential starting salary will be based on your individual competencies to perform the role.

  • Full-time employment (38.5 hours per week) for initially 12 months with potential to extend.
