Support in applying

If you need this job description in another format, or other support in applying, please email talent@madetech.com.

We believe we can use tech to make public services better. We also believe this can happen best when our own team represents the society that actually uses the services we work on. We’re collectively continuing to grow a culture that is happy, healthy, safe and inspiring for people of all backgrounds and experiences, so we encourage people from underrepresented groups to apply for roles with us.

When you apply, we’ll put you in touch with a talent partner who can help with any needs or adjustments we may need to make to help with your application. This includes alternative formats for documents, the time allotted for interviews and any other needs. We also welcome any feedback on how we can improve the experience for future candidates.

About Made Tech

Made Tech is on a mission to use technology to improve society - for everyone. We help public sector organisations transform, deliver and manage world-class digital products and cloud services. We work with the UK government to modernise legacy technology and shape the digital future of the country. We support local government teams in building accessible services that make a real difference to people. And we help the NHS use technology to improve and save lives.

Made Tech has grown quickly, and has bold ambitions for the future. We know that growth and change can be unsettling (as well as exciting), so we are looking for people who enjoy this challenge, and want to help others thrive too.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible for administrative people partnering activities and overseeing these across the people ops team. You will work closely with colleagues ensuring people activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner. You will also respond to and take ownership of non-standard and complex queries about general aspects of team members employment.

You will be supporting and taking ownership of all ER cases end to end. You will be advising and supporting Line Managers with people queries and escalate to the Head of People where necessary. You will be responsible for partnering activities and strategic analysis/reporting and data and analytics

You will be accountable for the development, successful roll out and continuous improvement of people policies and processes designed to improve the people experience and enable a high performance environment. You will also oversee the communication of people ops updates and ensure that the Made Tech handbook remains up to date.

Alongside colleagues in the People team you’ll own and lead on key projects, specifically the implementation of People initiatives. There may be occasions where you are expected to carry out other duties from time to time which are broadly consistent with your area of responsibility.

You will have experience of using HR software and possess competent digital skills given the tech use in this role. A highly organised individual, you will be able to apply an agile approach in order to prioritise and respond to demand.

You will be keen to learn and develop, and recognise the value and importance of working as part of a team.
